What’s New in Stardew Valley Update 1.4?

Stardew Valley’s Update 1.4 has finally arrived for PC players, bringing a host of exciting new features and improvements. While the update will soon be available for consoles, this guide will help you navigate the major additions and changes in Stardew Valley 1.4. Spoilers ahead!

Quality of Life Improvements & Additions

The 1.4 update introduces a range of quality of life enhancements designed to improve your gameplay experience. Here are some of the notable additions:

  • Deluxe Scarecrow: A new scarecrow with enhanced coverage is now available.
  • Screenshot Button: Capture your favorite moments with the new screenshot feature in the menu.
  • VSync Option: Enjoy smoother gameplay with the added VSync option.
  • Clothing Customization: Tailor and dye clothes, and discover new clothing items, hats, pants, boots, and decorative pieces.
  • New Items: Explore new weapons, animal products, flooring options, and more.
  • Secret Notes: Two new Secret Notes have been added.
  • Emotes: Express yourself using the new emote feature with the Y key.
  • Divorce Changes: Experience new behaviors from divorced spouses, including changes at weddings and festivals.
  • Fish Ponds: Build and upgrade Fish Ponds to breed fish.
  • Shed Upgrade: Double the size of your Shed with the new upgrade option.

New 14-Heart Spouse Events
