How to Unlock the Sebastian 14 Heart Event in Stardew Valley
In the new 1.4 update of Stardew Valley ConcernedApe added new Heart Events to unlock with your spouses. These Heart Events take place at 14 Hearts. To help you unlock each new Heart Event I am writing a guide for each spouse. The guide below shows you how to unlock the Sebastian 14 Heart Event in Stardew Valley.
How to Reach 14-Hearts with Sebastian?
To unlock the new event you first need to reach 14 hearts with Sebastian. You should already be around 10 since you’ve married him. To quickly raise the hearts with Sebastian you will want to give him the any of the following favorite items until you reach 14 Hearts:
- Frozen Tear.
- Obsidian.
- Pumpkin Soup.
- Sashimi.
- Void Egg.
Once you’ve reached 14 Hearts with Sebastian you need to trigger the first portion of the Heart Event. To trigger the first part of the event you need to head into the mountains area when it is raining/thunderstorm. Upon entering the area a cutscene will trigger starting the Sebastian 14-Heart Event.
Sebastian 14-Heart Event Guide
When you enter the mountain area Sebastian is near the lack. He will notice you and mention there is an injured frog in the bushes nearby. Sebastian wants to try and help the frog. You will then walk over to the bushes and shakes it. This causes the frog to run towards Sebastian who catches it. Sebastian then examines the frog and discovers its leg is all mangled. You can then reply:
- “What should we do with him?”
- “It’s our son now…”
- “I don’t think he’s going to make it”
- “Let’s nurse him back to health!”
Sebastian responds to your reply then takes the frog home with him. This ends the firs portion of the Heart Event.
Enter Farmhouse Between 6:20 AM – 7:00PM
To trigger the next portion of the event you need to enter your farmhouse anytime between 6:20 AM to 7:00 PM. This can be easily done on the next day after the first event. When you enter you will trigger another cutscene. In this cutscene Sebastian has replaced his Solarion Chronicles table with a terrarium. During this interaction Sebastian asks if the frog will get lonely to which you can reply:
- “Why not start a ‘frog sanctuary’?”
- “He’ll be fine.”
Choose either option to advance the cutscene. After this interaction you will be prompted to speak to Sebastian again with the following choices:
- “Why do you like frogs so much, anyway?”
- “I don’t really want this in the house.”
- “I’m glad you’ve found a new hobby.”
Regardless of what you choose the event ends. Sebastian’s spouse room permanently changes to having the terrarium inside it. If you look at the terrarium you can see frogs hopping around inside it.

WARNING if you date all of the boys or girls or all at the same time there will be a cut sceen at the saloon where they all find out what you are doing and get super mad at you (i don’t know if they break up with you or not)
I have been giving Sebastian gifts 2 times a week and talking to him daily for over a year in the game time and he still only has 8 hearts. Please tell me what I am doing wrong.
You have to give him a bouquet from Pierre’s to ask him to be your boyfriend. Then you’ll be able to get up to 10 hearts
Make sure you are giving gifts he actually likes. I’ll show you a list.
Sebastian loves the following items:
Frozen tear (can be found between level 40 and 79 in the mines)
Obsidian (can be found in a magma geode or an Omni geode)
Void egg (found from the void chicken)
Sashimi (you have to cook it in your kitchen)
Pumpkin soup (you have to cook it in your kitchen)
His list of likes is a bit smaller, as it only includes flounder and quartz.
Amy if you actually look at the wiki you’ll find that his list of likes is a lot longer than you think 🙂

Are all his likes. Sebastian likes a lot more than just quartz and flounders
You have to get the cutscenes. Only then your hearts will I crease
Thats actually false. You can miss cutscenes and still have your hearts with him increase.. They’ll just wait until you’re in the right conditions to play.
