The Stardew Valley Prize Machine debuted in Update 1.6 and can be found in Mayor Lewis’s house. By using a Prize Ticket with the machine, players can earn a variety of rewards. For comprehensive details on the Mayor Lewis Prize Machine, refer to our guide below.

Where is the Prize Machine?

The Prize Machine is located inside Mayor Lewis’s house in Pelican Town. You can access the mayor’s house between 8:30 AM and 10 PM, or at any time if you have the Key To The Town. The machine is positioned in the left corner of the house, next to the ledger where Lewis keeps the town’s finances. Upon entering the house, a cutscene featuring Mayor Lewis introduces the machine and provides information about Prize Tickets.

How to Get Prize Tickets?

To use the Prize Machine, you must first collect Prize Tickets, which are the consumable items used to obtain rewards from the machine. There are multiple methods for earning Prize Tickets:

  • Certain Help Wanted Quests (will show a ticket on the request)
  • Special Orders – Collect Prize Ticket from ticket box next to Special Orders board upon completion
  • Egg Festival and Festival of Ice wins
  • Buy at the Stardew Valley Fair for 1000 star tokens
  • Present behind the Bookseller

Each time you earn a Prize Ticket, it automatically adds to your inventory. You can carry up to 999 tickets at once. If your inventory is full, your character won’t pick up any additional tickets.

How to Use the Prize Machine?

Using the Prize Machine is straightforward. After obtaining a Prize Ticket, go to Lewis’s House and interact with the machine. This opens the machine screen, where you’ll see the current prize and the next two prizes. Press the large orange button in the middle to claim your prize. The number of Prize Tickets you have available is displayed next to the button.

Each time you use the machine the prizes shift one slot to the left with the last slot being refilled with a new prize. This will reveal the next prize you can win.
