This week, Stardew Valley fans have reason to celebrate with the release of the highly anticipated 1.3 beta version on Steam and GOG. Developer Eric Barone, known as ConcernedApe, has unveiled a host of new features and content that promises to enhance the Stardew Valley experience. This update introduces multiplayer capabilities and a range of new content that expands the beloved farming simulation game.

Multiplayer Mode Takes Center Stage

The most notable addition in the Stardew Valley 1.3 beta is the introduction of multiplayer mode. For the first time, players can team up with friends to explore the vibrant world of Pelican Town together.

This long-awaited multiplayer feature allows players to build cabins for their friends, create a shared farm, and even marry each other within the game. The ability to experience Stardew Valley in co-op mode opens up new possibilities for collaboration and interaction, making the game even more immersive and enjoyable.

Fresh Content and Features

In addition to multiplayer, the 1.3 beta brings a variety of exciting new content. One of the standout additions is the new Night Market event, which takes place on the beach from December 15-17.

This event features a bustling market with a range of vendors, including Famous Painter Lupini, who sells unique paintings, and the Cart Merchant, offering her usual assortment of items. Players can also enjoy a mesmerizing mermaid performance, explore new fishing opportunities with a deep-sea submarine, and discover a range of outdoor decorations.

The update also introduces a heartwarming new event where players can buy Pam a house, adding a long requested act of service to the game.

Other new additions include new buildable items like shipping containers and garden pots, an Auto-Grabber from Marnie that automates animal product harvesting, and new enemies and secret notes to uncover.

For those who enjoy customizing their farm, there are also new hats for horses and the ability to reselect jobs at the Statue of Uncertainty in the Sewer.

As players dive into the Stardew Valley 1.3 beta, there’s plenty of new content to explore and enjoy. The beta provides a glimpse into what’s coming, but a full list of single-player additions will be available once the beta period concludes.
