The Taiga Collectibles Locations – Metro Exodus
After completing The Caspian you and the crew will receive some bad news. To try and fix this news the Aurora will pull into The Taiga. This level has a number of collectibles for us to find. This guide will show you The Taiga collectibles locations in Metro Exodus.
The Taiga Collectible List
There area number of collectibles in The Taiga including the following:
- Diary Pages: 18
- Postcards: 5
If you miss any of the these collectibles, you can replay the mission via the Chapter Select screen on the Main Menu.
The Taiga Diary Pages Locations Map
You will find a number of Diary Pages across The Taiga. This map above shows you the locations of each one. Consult the more in depth descriptions below for more directions.
Taiga Diary 1: Note on Crossbow Bolt – In Gate as You Leave Property
There is a Postcard before this collectible. As you leave the starting property you will see a crossbow bolt sticking out of the wooden fence/gate. Grab it.
Taiga Diary 2: Unsent Letter – On Desk in School
From the property go right and follow the roadway until you reach the crumbling manor and a statue in the distance. Walk towards the statue (melee it for a Trophy/Achievement). Continue past the statue and go inside the school on your right. On the first desk in the front of the class is the Unsent Letter.
Taiga Diary 3: Little Kid’s Note – In House by Kid Statues
There is a Postcard before this. Cross the bridge with the pirates then turn right and go inside the house opposite the two kid statues. Go right inside the house until you reach a room with a trap and a teddy bear on a table. The Little Kid’s Note is by the teddy bear.
Taiga Diary 4: Solemn Oath – Top of Water Tower
In the same area as the house above, look for a water tower. Make your way to the top of the water tower to get the Solemn Oath.
Taiga Diary 5: Dusty Diary – Treehouse
Take the zipline from the water tower across to across the broken bridge. Walk along the road until you see a wooden tower on your left. Go into the tower and look for the diary page on a crate.
Taiga Diary 6: Alchemists’ Log – Alchemist Hut
Go up the ramp in the treehouse and take the zipline across the water. Walk up the hill and go inside the hut here to get the Alchemist Log collectible.
Taiga Diary 7: Lost Diary – Fisherman Hut
Return to the path and walk north until you see a fishing hut on your right. Approach the hut and go inside to find the Lost Diary on a crate.
Taiga Diary 8: Dusty Notebook – Cave in Cliff Face
Return to the road and head to the across it to reach a cave in the cliff face. Go inside the cave to find a small shack. In the shack is the Dusty Notebook.
Taiga Diary 9: Calligraphic Note – Old Log House
After you are captured and the bear appears, take control of Artyom and go towards the quest marker. Along the way you will reach a group of pirates that are talking with another tower. Take them out then turn left. You will reach a farming field and a house. Go in the house with the blue barrel in front of it. Inside is the diary page.
Taiga Diary 10: Scribbled Note – Building in Bandit Camp
In the large bandit camp look for the only building on the ground level. Inside the building you will find the Scribbled Note on a table.
Taiga Diary 11: Worn-Out Letter – Cave Entrance
Make your way through the bandit camp until your reach the zipline to the riverbed. Walk along the riverbed until you see an opening in the rockwall to your right. Go inside the opening and grab the Worn-Out Letter off a crate in the entrance.
Taiga Diary 12: Crumpled Note – Deeper in Cave
Continue going deeper into the cave until you reach a bandit corpse. Beside the corpse is the Crumpled Note.
Taiga Diary 13: Dirty Diary – Table along Coast
There is a postcard before this collectible. Make your way through the bandit camp and exit through the east gate. Walk down to the road and turn to the right. Follow the road until you reach a tent with a table and dead body in it. On the table is the Dirty Diary.
Taiga Diary 14: Hunter’s Diary – Corpse Outside Cemetery
Continue towards the quest marker until you reach the cemetery. Just in front of the gate is a corpse on the corpse is the Hunter’s Diary.
Taiga Diary 15: Weathered Note – Gazebo
After you make your way through the cemetery, head down the path leading towards the boat. Along the way you will see a gazebo. Inside the gazebo is the Weathered Note.
Taiga Diary 16: Folded Note – Room With Oars Over It
When you have to make your way through the bandit camp to get a boat, look for a door that has two oars and a life saver over it. Go through the door and into the first room you see. On the desk is the Folded Note.
Taiga Diary 17: Blood – Soaked Letter – Behind Red Blast Door in Dam
Make your way through the Dam until your reach a red blast door that needs to be opened via a generator. Open the door and walk inside the room to find the Blood-Soaked Letter on the corpse in front of you.
Taiga Diary 18: Unfinished Letter – #34 House Outside Dam
When you reunite with Alyosha outside the Dam make your way down the street and look for the house with the number 34 on its fence. Go into this house to find the Unfinished Letter on the table. There is postcard in the other room here as well.
The Taiga Postcard Locations Map
There are a number of postcards to collect in the Taiga. Use the map above to find their specific locations. For more in depth directions, consult each individual location below.
Taiga Postcard 1: Old Shack Near Beginning of Level
After you are saved you will come to just outside an old property. On the property there is a house and an old shack on the right. Go inside the old shack and make your way to the room in the back. Inside the bookshelf is the first postcard.
Taiga Postcard 2: Bookshelf in Police Station
Go past the statue and the school until you reach the bridge with the pirates on it. Use the crumbled section to go down to the left. Walk forward towards the hollowed out tree then go left into the police station. Inside the police station stay on the main floor and walk into the library area. On the side of a bookshelf is the Postcard.
Taiga Postcard 3: House on Hill in Bandit Camp
Make your way through the cave until your reach another bandit camp (there is an excavator in the center). On the westside of the camp there is a house on a hill. Go inside this house to get the third postcard.
Taiga Postcard 4: Admiral’s Room
After you steal the boat and reach the island, make your way to along the west side of the island until you reach an old shed. Turn on the generator here then head to the entrance of the lumber mill. Inside get the powering going then ride the elevator up. Make your way along the roof until your reach the Admiral’s room.
Taiga Postcard 5: #34 House Outside Dam
When you reunite with Alyosha outside the Dam make your way down the street and look for the house with the number 34 on its fence. Go into this house and into the other room here to find the postcard on the wall.

The only hut I can find in 7’s location isn’t as big as the one in the SS. Im a little lost.
Found it, was a glitch, game wasn’t picking up that I was looking at it on the crate.
