How to Get the Minimizer Perk in NBA 2K24

A new aspect of NBA 2K24 is the ability to unlock and use different Takeover Perks. This make building out your player more interesting and you can really shape them into the player you want them to be. To ensure you have access to all perks you will need to unlock a number of them. Where to Get the Minimizer Perk in NBA 2K24

The Minimizer Takeover Perk can be unlocked by completing the Minimizer side quest. This side quest becomes available to players as they complete NBA games. When the quest is available to you it will ask you to visit Chris Matthews at the Art of Shooting in the City.

The easiest method of reaching The Art of Shooting is to use the game’s fast travel subway system. Enter the subway and go to the City East station. Directly to the left of the station is the Art of Shooting Facility. Enter it via the door to go into the gym area.

Objectives to Unlock the Minimizer Perk in NBA 2K24

To unlock the Minimizer Takeover Perk you need to complete a two objectives. The first objective is to head to the Art of Shooting Facility. To complete this objective simply enter the shooting gym and speak to Chris Matthews there. Doing this triggers a cutscene and completes the objective.

Following the cutscene you get to work on the second objective. This second objective is to score three stars on a drill in the Art of Shooting Facility. The drill you get to complete is to select two Hot zones to work on. During this drill you shoot 10 shots from two different spots on the floor. A nice thing about this drill is you get to select the spots you work on. Pick zones your player is good in and nail your shots. What Does the Minimizer Takeover Perk Do in NBA 2K24

If you successfully complete the drill with three stars you will unlock Minimizer. To equip this Takeover Perk make open the menu and go to Progression > Takeover. Select Takeover to go to the Takeover screen. On this screen you can select the active Takeover Perk you wish to use. The Minimizer Perk does the following when used:

“Opponent’s activated Takeovers don’t last as long when closely guarded.”

Whether this perk is useful to you as a player will depend on your build. Players that focus on defense may find it useful to use to slow down any offensive players who trigger Takeovers regularly.

This Takeover Perk must be unlocked if you wish to unlock Mamba Mentality. Unlocking it along with two other perks: Decelerator and Second Chance.
