During the Pokemon Go Fest in 2022, players that attended had the chance to catch the Mythical Pokemon Shaymin, the Gratitude Pokemon. This event was a huge success, but many players didn’t get a chance to get this monster for themselves. Thankfully, players now have a chance to catch themselves a Shaymin in Land Forme thanks to an upcoming free event.

When is the Shaymin Special Research Event

The Free Special Reserach event for Shaymin in its Land Forme was announced by Niantic on the official Pokemon Go blog. This post gave details of the event including its starting date of April 20, 2023, 10:00 a.m. your local time. While the event is active trainers can complete the Special Research story Grass and Gratitude to earn an encounter with Shaymin in Land Forme.

Can You Catch Shaymin Again if You Caught One Already

Fans that caught a Shaymin during the Pokémon GO Fest 2022 may be wondering if they can catch a second one. The answer to this question is yes, you can catch a second one. To catch another one you will need to complete the Special Research tasks like every other player. Once you’ve done that you will earn an encounter with the Pokemon. This means you can catch a second one for your collection.
