Ori and the Will of the Wisps Boss List

Featured iamge on Ori and the Will of the Wisps Boss List

Ori and the Will of the Wisps is a sort of action-adventure metroidvania with platforming elements and combat. Like other games in this genre you will find a few bosses to fight as you venture through the dangerous lands. To help you take down all of the bosses we’ve thrown together this Ori and the Will of the Wisps boss list. Enjoy.

Howl

Location: Inkwater Marsh.

The first sort of boss fight you will encounter in the game is Howl in the Inkwater Marsh. I say sort of boss because you basically do a brief chase sequence then fight to about half health before Howl takes off. This boss fight is a good introduction to the combat mechanics in the game.

Horn Beetle

Location: Kwolok’s Hollow.

After you traverse Inkwater Marsh you end up in a new area called Kwolok’s Hollow. In Kwolok’s Hollow the first real boss fight takes place against the Horn Beetle. The Horn Beetle is highly focused on using the Dash ability effectively to take it down.

Kwolok

Location: Luma Pools.

When you are tasked with finding the lost Wisps you will make your way to the area called Luma Pools. At the end of the Luma Pools you will face off against Kwolok. Kwolok is corrupted and must be defeated in order to reach the Wisp there. Sorry old pal.

Mora

Location: Mouldwood Depths.

When you reach the far northwest area of the Mouldwood Depths you will encounter a giant spider named Mora. Mora like every other boss so far has been defiled. This means you need to defeat her to free her from the corruptions grasp. Mora is an actual boss fight that has multiple phases. When the fight starts you will fall into an arena below:

  1. Phase 1: standard fight. Lower Mora’s health to 50% to trigger next phase. Note during this phase Mora will break open the right wall to make the arena bigger.
  2. Phase 2: Mora destroys the floor, forcing you to platform your way up to the area you first met Mora in. While you are platforming Mora will chase you.
  3. Phase 3: Once you reach the starting area again there is another fight. When you get Mora to about 30% Mora will trigger darkness meaning you should have your Flash ability handy.

Mora must be defeated to advance the main story of Ori and the Will of the Wisps.

Shriek

Location: Willow’s End.

The final boss fight you will need to complete to beat Ori and the Will of the Wisps is Shriek. Shriek is a character you encounter multiple times throughout the game. At the end of the Willow’s End area you will need to fight Shriek in a multiple phase battle. Defeat Shriek to finish the game.

That’s all the major boss fights you will encounter in Ori and the Will of the Wisps. There aren’t a ton of bosses to fight, but what fights are there are rather difficult to complete. If you are having trouble with any of the bosses you should check out our guide hub here. Good luck.
