How to Get the Butterfly or Queen Beetle Set – Monster Hunter World
Monster Hunter World is currently hosting its Spring Blossom Event which brings a number of new things to the game. One new thing that has been added is new armor sets for both male and female hunters. Since there were certain sets that were previously gender specific, both male and female hunters will now be able to access the Butterfly and Beetle sets. Below I will show you how to get the Butterfly or Queen Beetle set for you Hunter. Note: This event lasts from April 6 – 19.
Access the Vespoid Infestation! Arena Challenge
To unlock the Butterfly (male) or Queen Beetle (female) armor sets, you need to complete an Arena challenge. To access this challenge, make you way to the Gathering Hub and talk to the Arena Lass. Access the Challenges category and select the two star challenge titled Vespoid Infestation!. This challenge requires you to slay 30 Vespoid in 50 minutes. Easy enough.
Complete Arena Challenge: Vespoid Infestation!
When you start the challenge, you will be prompted to select starting equipment. What you choose is largely up to you, but the Insect Glaive works pretty well here. Regardless, select whichever set you feel comfortable with and make your way to the Arena.
Inside the Arena you will notice a Pukei-Pukei. Don’t even bother fighting it. Simply stay along the upper portion of the area and run either clockwise or counter-clockwise killing the Vespoids as they continually spawn in. After you’ve killed 30, the mission will end and you will receive the Spring Insect Field Guide. Take the Spring Insect Field Guide to the Smithy to unlock the Butterfly or Queen Beetle Set.
Queen Beetle Set Requirements
To craft the Queen Beetle Set, you will need to collect some materials (or have them on hand). The materials you need for each piece can be found below.
- Vertex: 1x Spring Insect Field Guide, 1x Great Hornfly, 1x Vespoid Shell, 1x Monster Fluid.
- Thorax: 1x Spring Insect Field Guide, 1x Great Hornfly, 1x Vespoid Wing, 1x Monster Fluid.
- Brachia: 1x Spring Insect Field Guide, 1x Great Hornfly, 1x Vespoid Shell, 1x Monster Fluid.
- Elytra: 1x Spring Insect Field Guide, 1x Great Hornfly, 1x Vespoid Wing, 1x Monster Fluid.
- Crura: 1x Spring Insect Field Guide, 1x Great Hornfly, 1x Vespoid Shell, 1x Monster Fluid.
This set is Low Rank and has a Rarity of 3.
