How to Access Far Cry 5 DLC Items and Where to Get Preorder Items
Far Cry 5 is out now, and that means it’s time to once again head into the wilderness to hunt animals and fight bad guys. Like previous Far Cry games in the series, there are a number of copies available for purchase which include different DLC items. Before I mention how to unlock the Far Cry 5 DLC items, it is important to verify that you actually have the items installed. I picked up Far Cry 5 on PlayStation 4 and the DLC items can in individual downloads. If you preordered the game, it is possible that you missed them. Be sure you have the items installed (be it on PS4, Xbox One, or PC). Once you know for sure, proceed to the next step below.
Liberate Dutch’s Island
Before you can grab your DLC items, you need to playthrough a bit of Far Cry 5’s story. After you’ve liberated Duth’s island, your DLC items will be added to your inventory. Below you will find out where to access each type of item (each owned DLC item is denoted by a green check mark in their selection menu).
Clothing: Clothing can be accessed in the menu under the Character Customization. Select outfits to see available DLC outfits, or mix and match using the various categories.
Weapons: Liberate an Outpost with a Weapons Dealer. Go into the buy section and you will see a number of weapons for sale.
Vehicles: Accessible via a Garage. Garage’s are spread throughout the world (I accessed the one at Rae-Rae’s Pumpkin Farm).
Helicopter: Find a Helicopter Shop on the map to access your DLC helicopter.
