Elden Ring Blackguard Big Boggart Quest Guide
In Elden Ring players can meet an NPC named Blackguard Big Boggart. Blackguard Big Boggart is located at the Boilprawn Shack in the Liurnia of the Lakes swamp. Where to Find Blackguard Big Boggart (Location 1)
Blackguard Big Boggart can be found first at the Boilprawn Shack in Liurnia. To start his questline you want to begin the first section of Rya’s quest. Rya asks you to retrieve her stolen necklace. The necklace has been stolen by Blackguard Big Boggart. Go to the Boilprawn Shack and speak to Blackguard Big Boggart to buy the necklace for 1,000 runes.
After you’ve bought the necklace from Blackguard Big Boggart you can speak to him again. Purchase a Boiled Prawn consumable from him to gain his trust. He will comment on the purchase. This unlocks the next section of his questline.
Note: You can kill Blackguard Big Boggart to get the necklace and his drops from him. Doing this locks you out of his questline.
Optional: Summon Blackguard Big Boggart at Magma Wyrm
Once you have Blackguard Big Boggarts trust you will next encounter him along the mountain path heading to the Altus Plateau. Just before the Magma Wyrm fight you will find his summon. You can use this summon to make the fight easier if you wish. This is completely optional to do.
Where to Find Blackguard Big Boggart (Location 2)
After you buy prawns from Blackguard Big Boggart and reach the Altus Plateau, he will pack up shop and move. Blackguard Big Boggart sets up his camp in the in the outer moat of Leyndell near the Capital Rampart. When you meet him here he sells the new Boiled Crab consumable item.
Speak to Blackguard Big Boggart here and pick “something you should know…” to learn about his past with another NPC, Dung Eater. If you want to see the quest through and you haven’t been doing the Dung Eater questline, now is the time to do it. Make sure you exhaust his dialogue before the next part of the quest.
Blackguard Big Boggart x Dung Eater
Advance the Dung Eater quest until he tells you to meet him in the Leyndell moat. At this point go back to Blackguard Big Boggart. He is wounded. Exhaust the dialogue with him and he will die. This triggers an invasion by Dung Eater. Defeat Dung Eater then loot Blackguard’s body to get Seedbed Curse, Blackguard’s Bell Bearing, Iron Ball, and Blackguard’s Iron Mask. This ends the questline.
