Blasphemous 2 NPCs, Their Quests, and How to Complete Them
As the Penitent One explores Cvstodia in Blasphemous 2 he encounters a cast of characters with their own stories to tell. Many of these characters exist to help the protagonist, while some have request for him. If you want to know all of the Blasphemous 2 NPCs, their questlines, and how to complete them, this guide is for you.
Anunciada
The very first NPC you will meet in Blasphemous 2 is Anunciada. This meeting occurs in the Ravine of the High Stones area as part of the tutorial. Anunciada comes down from the heavens to impart guidance on the Penitent One. This guidance reveals the game’s main objective to stop the birth of the Miracle’s child. Following this first interaction Anunciada appears after major objectives are completed to give players further direction on where to go.
Master Sculptor Montanes & Montanes’ Daughter
Master Sculptor Montanes is located in the City of the Blessed Name in the workshop. This NPC offers figure and Altarpiece of Favours services. If you find a Remembrance item you can bring it to him to have a figure made.
Additionally this NPC has a questline players can complete. Montanes wants to create one final statue of the Most Blessed Lady. To do this he requires tools and materials scattered throughout Cvstodia. Find these tools and give them to Montanes so he can complete his last work.
Upon completing his life’s work Montanes leaves the City of the Blessed Name. After he leaves his daughter takes over his work and offers the Penitent One the same services that he did. Additionally you can use the Prie Dieu’s to slot figures in your Altarpiece of Favours.
Confessor & Corrupted Confessor
In the chapel of the City of the Blessed Name you will encounter the Confessor. This NPC can remove the Penitent One’s accumulated guilt for Tears of Atonement. As players use the guilt removal service the flowers appear on the Confessor’s red robe. These flowers bloom and give two Rosary Beads: Imperfect Sphere of Guilt and Concentrated Sphere of Guilt.
Upon collecting both these Rosary Beads the Confessor becomes corrupted. This changes the look of the NPC visually, but his service still remains. Additionally you can use the Prie Dieu’s to remove guilt after this point.
Yerma
During the main storyline you need to visit the area called Profundo Lamento. As you explore this area you will encounter an NPC named Yerma. Yerma has a questline that stretches through the game up to the Twin Moons area. To complete this questline you need to accept Yerma’s help on boss fights and then find her Holy Oil. Mother & Sleeping Child
Another NPC in the Profundo Lamento area is the Mother & Sleeping Child. This NPC is short on words but does have a questline players can complete. To complete their quest players must collect pieces fives pieces of an Unfinished Lullaby to make the Lullaby of the White Shore. Once this lullaby is finished players can return it to the Mother to enter a dream level.
Procession of Shadows
Another NPC in Profundo Lamento is the Procession of Shadows. This horse drawn carriage will take you to various parts of the map each time you give them a Forgotten Tribute coin. Each time they give you a ride they will wait in the last area they took you to. You have to use this NPC three times to reach 100% map discovery.
Mayor Cobijada & Followers
The first time you use a warp gate you arrive in the upper section of the City of the Blessed Name. In the room to the right of the gate you will meet the Mayor Cobijada. This NPC asks you to find her missing sisters. There are nine missing Cobijada Sisters to find behind hidden corners throughout Cvstodia. Finding these missing NPCs unlocks different rewards including useful bonus Prie Dieu functionalities.
Our Lady of the Chalices
In the City of the Blessed Name you will encounter a room marked with a blood droplet on your map. This room houses the Our Lady of the Chalices NPC. This NPC will upgrade your health for you if you bring her three types of items you located in the world: Empty Receptacles (+1 Bile Flask), Ornate Chalice (total health), and the Silver-Clad Crystal Shard (Bile Flask size).
As you deliver the above mentioned items to this NPC she will begin to peel the skin off of her body. If you deliver all the health buffing items the only thing left of her is a bloody skeleton.
Merchant: Regina
There is a merchant in the City of the Blessed Name called Regina. Regina’s shop opens in the right area after you advance the main storyline. This NPC sells a variety of wares including Figures, Rosary Beads, Wax Seeds, and Rosary Bead Knots. This NPC doesn’t have a questline but does have an achievement tied to it. Purchase everything from the arm to unlock the Empty Handed achievement.
Traveling Merchant: Medardo and Escolástico
Just before you leave the City of the Blessed Name you will encounter two NPCs named Medardo and Escolástico. These NPCs are traveling merchants. Each time you encounter them in Cvstodia they will have new items in their inventory. As you interact with them through the main storyline their location changes to follow your path.
Castula and Trifon
In the Palace of Embroideries there is a pair of old siblings named Castula and Trifon. Each time you enter their room, one of them will be alive. Both of these NPCs request you to find items for them: Cloth of the Old Woman and the Scroll of the Elders. You can only give one of these NPCs their item per playthrough. The choice you make determines which figure/remembrance you receive. The figure you don’t get can be bought from Casto. Reuniting their figures unlocks the Two Old Ones Eating Soup achievement.
Bee Man
Once you’ve acquired both Sarmiento & Centella and Ruego Al Alba weapons you can meet the Bee Man. This NPC is located in the Choir of Thorns area. When you reach his room and speak to him he will give you The Maiden figure. Each time you die with this figure equipped it breaks. Take it back to the Bee Man and pay him to repair it. Continue to do this and he will slowly disappear, leaving you with The Unwavering One figure.
Besamanos
There are a number of NPCs for players to meet in the Streets of Wakes. One of them is Besamanos. Besamanos is located in the chapel to the left of the Prie Dieu. This floating hand asks you to kneel before it. Regardless of your decision you can bring this hand the Fervent Kisses to improve their Fervour. Upon giving all kisses players can then acquire the Broken Key to enter the room behind the hand.
Mistress of Mourning
There are a number of NPCs for players to meet in the Streets of Wakes. One of them is the Mistress of Mourning. The Mistress of Mourning is located in the bedroom to the right of the Prie Dieu. This NPC asks you to find her five daughters and snuff out their candles. Each time you find and extinguish a candle you unlock a round of the Combat Challenge. Completing a round gives players rewards.
Sagrario
There are a number of NPCs for players to meet in the Streets of Wakes. One of them is Sagrario. Sagrario is located in the room above the Mistress of Mourning. This NPC will unlock Rosary Bead slots for players that bring her Abandoned Rosary Knot items. There are five total of these items to find.
Merchant: Casto
Make your way through the upper section of the Streets of Wakes area until you reach the Forlorn Patio. This single room location houses a merchant called Casto. Casto sells various items including quest items you missed or failed to unlock. If you purchase everything from Casto he gives players the Stolen Pendant of Solitude.
Regula
In the Labyrinth of Tides area you will encounter a large woman holding up the entrance to a temple. This large woman is Regula. Regula asks you to enter the temple behind her using a secondary path. Doing this causes the entrance to collapse onto her. You can then claim the Regula’s Cloth item from her to deliver to the temple for a reward. For more details see our complete Regula’s quest guide.
Cesareo
The here is one NPC players can find in the Sunken Cathedral area. In this area you will find a man named Cesareo. Cesareo requests that you bring him Wax Seeds to create children of wax to watch of his baby. When you bring him all six seeds and plant them he gives you the Remembrance of Cesareo item.
Proximo
The final NPC is located in the Garden of the High Choirs area. This NPC is named Proximo. Proximo asks you to locate all 33 of his missing Cherub brothers. When you find a Cherub a platform appears above Proximo, allowing players to visit higher sections of the tower. At the top players will find a variety of different rewards.
