Before getting started I need to level with you, Rotom is rare, likely really rare. Serebii.net clocks its spawn rate in at a low 2% and that’s not even taking into account the fact it only spawns during Rainy weather type in the Lake of Outrage Wild Area. So you’re going to need a bit of a luck on hand to catch this Pokemon. With that said here are some things you can do to increase your chances of catching Rotom:

Once your team is ready to go and you have an ample supply of Poke Balls, make your way to the Lake of Outrage on a Rainy day. Here you will want to cross the lake and look in the tall grass by the circle of rocks for Rotom (appears in overworld). Hopefully you run into one and can catch it right away.

Alternatively since I lucked out and found one right away I’ve left it at the breeder with Ditto and am open to trading with you if you wish. Leave a comment with what you can offer.
