Where to Buy Guns in Red Dead Redemption 2
Inside the Gunsmith you will find Gun Oil.

Guns are a major part of playing through Red Dead Redemption 2. Without them you would be a sitting duck on the open plains. Since guns are so crucial, it is important for you to have an ample stock of weapons at your disposal. Below I will show you where to buy guns in Red Dead Redemption 2.

Gunsmith

Every major town in Red Dead Redemption 2 features a number of basic amenities. One of these amenities is the Gunsmith. The Gunsmith can be found by going to the small gun icon on your map during open business hours (during the day). At the Gunsmith you can buy a number of different guns. To do this either use the catalogue which is on the counter, or browse the various racks of the store. The major items you can typically buy from the Gunsmith are:

  • Revolvers: Sidearm you can purchase.
  • Pistols: Sidearm you can purchase.
  • Repeaters: Primary you can purchase.
  • Rifles: Primary you can purchase.
  • Shotguns: Primary you can purchase.
  • Ammunition: Ammunition for your weapons.
  • Accessories: Apparel pieces for Arthur that impact your weapons: Gun belt, Holster, Bandolier, Gun Oil.

Prices of the weapons you purchase range from anywhere between $50 –  $200. Once you purchase a weapon you will need to equip it onto Arthur. This can be done at the Gunsmith by selecting the Customize option when focusing on the Gunsmith. You can only equip one sidearm and one primary weapon at a time, so make your purchases wisely.
