What’s New in Vampire Survivors Patch 0.10.0
Vampire Survivors is very close to finally being finished and there are just a few updates left. The update released today is Patch 0.10.0 and it features a number of new additions to the game. In this update there are a couple of new characters, a new Arcanas, a new Relic, and some new weapons/items. Let’s take a closer look at what’s new in Vampire Survivors Patch 0.10.0. SPOILERS BELOW.
2x New Characters: Cosmos and Trousers
The first major part of the patch is the addition of two new characters for players to unlock. These characters are both considered “secret” so you need to complete specific tasks in two of the game stages. Two unlock both characters you need to do the following:
- Cosmo: With a pure heart and two good friends, visit the fiery balcony in Cappella Magna.
- Trousers: Master all 16 accessories in Moongolow.
Both characters have interesting starting weapons and passive bonuses. Trousers in-particular, when unlocked, will unlock the Candybox item for use in subsequent runs.
Arcanas XIII – Wicked Season
There is one new Arcanas to unlock in this patch. That Arcanas is XIII – Wicked Season. To unlock this Arcanas you need to reach Level 99 with Christine. XIII – Wicked Season, when equipped, causes overall Growth, Luck, Greed, and Curse to be doubled at fixed intervals. The character also starts gaining +1% Growth, Luck, Greed, and Curse every 2 levels.
New Relic: Forbidden Scrolls of Morbane
There is a new Relic that has been added in this patch called the Forbidden Scrolls of Morbane. This Relic is tied to a new boss that can be found on The Bone Zone stage. When you start this stage you will see a ? on the map. Defeat this boss and it will drop the Forbidden Scrolls of Morbane. Pick it up to unlock the Relics two purposes: Secrets List and Cast Spell (Cheats).
Golden Egg Removal
If you’ve been piling Golden Eggs up on certain characters and have been finding yourself bored, there is now a way to reverse the amount of eggs you have. If you play Moogolow with a character that has 5,000 Golden Eggs or more you can enter a portal that appears directly down from spawn. Inside the portal is the Flames of Moonspell which removes 100 Golden Egg bonuses for free.
2x New Achievements
Alongside the unlocks above there are two new additional achievements to unlock. With these 2 achievements the total for the game stands at 129 achievements in the game. The two added in this update are:
- XII – Wicked Season: Reach Level 99 with Christine after finding the Randomazzo.
- Forbidden Scrolls: Find the Forbidden Scrolls of Morbane.
Since there are still more patches to come, expect there to be more achievements to unlock in the future. The roadmap for the game does not state how many the developers plan to have in the full release.
