The Last of Us 2: The Descent Collectibles Locations Guide
Once you’ve crossed The Shortcut you will fall into a pool in the Blacra Hotel. This starts the next level called The Descent. AS you make your way down to the hospital you will want to grab a number of collectibles on the way. To get all 100% of the collectibles available use our The Last of Us 2 The Descent collectibles locations guide below.
The Descent Collectibles List (10 Total)
- Artifacts: 3.
- Coins: 5.
- Safes: 1.
- Weapons: 1.
Like most collectibles in this game you will want to grab them in the order they are listed below as you can very easily get gated from returning to an area. If for some reason you do miss a collectible you can replay a chapter from the Main Menu > Story > Chapters screen.
The Descent Coin #1: Illinois Location
At the start of the level jump back into the pool at the 11 Ft 5 In march and dive down. Look for a drain here and grab the Illinois Coin (1/5) from inside it.
The Descent Artifact #1: Gym Safe Combo Location
Leave the pool and head into the hallway. Enter the first room on your right and make your way through the gym and take a right to reach Orchards Juice Bar. Go into the backroom and grab the Gym Safe Combo (1/3) off the cork board there.
The Descent Safe Location (12-18-79)
Head back to the gym and look for a green door to the left of the doors leading to the stairwell. Go in this green door to reach a storage closet. Inside this storage closet is the The Descent Safe. Open the safe (1/1) using the combination 12-18-79. Inside you will find the a number of resources.
The Descent Artifact #2: FEDRA Orders Location
You will automatically pick the FEDRA Orders (2/3) up when you head through the stairwell door. This pick up happens automatically and is unmissable.
The Descent Artifact #3: FEDRA Final Note Location
Go all the way down the stairwell to reach the 19th floor. Abby will put on a gas mask and will separate from Lev. Explore the floor for a gas mask and take it back to Lev. Head back in and use the firehose to lower down a few floors. After you’ve reached the lowest floor check the room to the right for the FEDRA Final Note (3/3) next to a corpse.
The Descent Weapon Location
To progress you need to drop down to the floor below. Do this and head through the apartment and cross a metal beam. Take out the infected that attack you and continue forward until you find a half opened door on your right next to a painting of a red and orange squares. Squeeze through this door to enter a bathroom. Cross the metal beam here to find the Flamethrower (1/1) on a corpse in another bathroom.
The Descent Coin #2: Oregon Location
Make your way forward until you cross two metal beams in close succession. After the second metal beam you will drop down a floor. When you drop down turn and jump to the room across the gap. Inside this room the Oregon Coin (2/5) can be found on a shelf to the right.
The Descent Coin #3: Wisconsin Location
Head down all the floors until you reach the elevator shaft. Go inside the elevator shaft then jump down. Leave the shaft and turn left to find a vending machine. Melee the machine to get the Winsconsin Coin (3/5) from the coin dispenser.
The Descent Coin #4: Rhode Island Location
When you head outside the hotel Abby will remove her gas mask. Make your way onto the rooftop patio and head to the bar. Jump behind the bar and look for a cash register. Next to the register is the Rhode Island Coin (4/5).
The Descent Coin #5: Missouri Location
Head inside the front gate of the hospital to trigger a cutscene. After the cutscene head to the right of the ambulance and enter the building there. Go all the way to the end of the hallway to find the Missouri Coin (5/5).
