The Division 2 Activate the Water Source Pump Sequence

Valves location in Museum Water Source.

In the The Division 2’s Museum Water Source side mission, you’ll be tasked with activating pumps on the National Mall’s museum roof. To do this, you must turn several valves in a specific sequence. Below is the correct valve sequence you need to follow to complete this part of the mission.

Steps to Activate the Water Source Pumps

  1. Fight Through to the Roof:
    • First, fight your way through the museum until you reach the rooftop. You’ll need to clear out enemies before you can proceed.
  2. Enter the Pump Room:
    • On the roof, you’ll find a pump room. Enter the room to begin the valve activation process.

The proper valve sequence.
  1. Valve Sequence:
    • Inside the pump room, you will see five valves on the walls. You need to turn them in the following sequence to restore the water source:
      1. Turn the valve on the right wall. (This is the only valve on the right side of the room.)
      2. Turn the valve furthest to the left on the wall that contains four valves.
      3. Turn the valve to the immediate right of the last one you turned on the same wall.
  2. Mission Progression:
    • After activating these three valves, the mission will progress, and you’ll be able to continue with the next part of the side mission.

Additional Tips

  • Take your time: Make sure you’re clear of enemies before activating the valves. The room can become chaotic with hostiles trying to stop your progress.
  • Valve Location Clarity: The valves are clearly marked, but if you’re ever unsure, check for nearby clues or in-game indicators pointing you toward the correct valve to turn.
