Stardew Valley 1.6 Update Has Been Announced
ConcernedApe, the creator of Stardew Valley, delighted farmers eager for new content by announcing the development of Stardew Valley 1.6 update. This highly anticipated update will bring fresh content to the popular indie farming game and improve the modding experience.
In a tweet released on April 16th, 2023, ConcernedApe stated that the focus of the update will be on making modding easier and more powerful, with some new game content also included, though not as much as in the previous update, 1.5.
As is typical of ConcernedApe’s updates, he has not revealed many details about what players can expect, other than the above mentioned tweet. However, some fans were able to glean a bit more information from him in the comments section. According to ConcernedApe, patch 1.6 will feature expanded dialogue options for the different townsfolk.
To work on Stardew Valley update 1.6, ConcernedApe is taking a break from his upcoming project, Haunted Chocolatier. This game, which was announced in 2021 with a short release trailer, is a shop management title with ties to the Stardew Valley universe. Since the announcement, ConcernedApe has shared several screenshots of the game, but his focus is currently on delivering the 1.6 update to the eagerly awaiting fans of Stardew Valley.
The last major update to come to Stardew Valley was update 1.5. This update featured new additions to the game including the release of an entire new location called Ginger Island. Ginger Island added a ton of new end game content for farmers who had spent their days farming away on the mainland.
