Separate Ways Chapters | RE4R
The DLC expansion for the Resident Evil 4 Remake is Separate Ways. In this expansions players play as Ada Wong who is on her own mission to obtain Amber that runs parallels to Leon’s quest to save the President’s daughter Ashley. As you playthrough this experience you may be wondering how long Separate Ways is? To answer that question here’s the complete Separate Ways chapters list.
How Many Chapters in the Separate Ways DLC
Like the base game, Separate Ways divides into chapters, each situated in a specific location.. These chapters offer opportunities to discover firearms, fulfill Merchant Requests, and engage in cutscenes. In total, there are seven chapters within Separate Ways that you need to finish in order to conclude the main storyline.
Several of these chapters take place in areas you’ve previously explored while playing as Leon in the Resident Evil 4 Remake. However, these locations offer fresh perspectives with new puzzles and reimagined elements because you’re visiting them at a different time. Additionally during the chapters, Ada encounters the U-3 boss, a unique challenge exclusive to her storyline.
The time it takes to complete each chapter depends on your gameplay style. If you stick to the main storyline, it takes about 4 hours to complete. However, if you explore more, it can take up to 8 hours.
The primary cause of this difference in playtime is the additional content that players can easily overlook. Explorers can find treasure, secrets, and even complete side tasks like locating Leon’s missing jacket.
If the previously mentioned content isn’t sufficient, there are also new Trophies to unlock and CP Challenges to complete, specifically designed for this DLC. In particular, the Challenges will significantly extend the gameplay, as many of them demand specific completion criteria.
How to Tell Which Chapter You Are On in the Separate Ways DLC
The DLC effectively tracks your current chapter progress. Each time you create a save file, it includes the chapter number. Furthermore, after completing a chapter, you can access a chapter completion screen that showcases your statistics for that chapter and marks the beginning of the next one.
