NBA 2K19 Neighborhood Guide: Explore, Train, and Compete

NBA 2K19 introduces a revamped version of the Neighborhood, offering new changes that shake up the familiar social space we’ve come to know. This guide will help you navigate the updated areas and get the most out of your experience in the Neighborhood.
MyCOURT High-Rise
Your MyCOURT is the first place you’ll visit, and it’s a central spot for hanging out. Here, you can shoot hoops on your full-size court or relax by the couches watching NBA 2KTV. MyCOURT is fully customizable through the Nav screen under “Customize Your MyPLAYER,” where you can change things like backboards, ball colors, and even apply murals. As you level up, you’ll unlock fun additions like an arcade machine and a carnival hoops game to enjoy with friends.
NBA Store (Player Apparel)
Facing away from your MyCOURT, head along the street to the left to reach the NBA Store. In the NBA Store you can buy different items to swag out your players look. In the NBA Store you can spend VC on jerseys, hats, watches, and a number of other on court items to make your player look more unique. As you level up your character, the NBA Store will have more items to offer you, so check back intermittently for fresh stock.
NBA Store (Player Apparel)
Head down the street from MyCOURT to find the NBA Store, where you can spend VC on a variety of NBA-themed apparel to customize your MyPLAYER. The more you level up, the more items will be available. In addition to jerseys and hats, you can purchase other on-court gear to truly make your player stand out.

If you’re looking to change up your style, Doc’s Barber Shop has you covered. Choose from a variety of haircuts, and as you level up, you’ll unlock the ability to dye your hair in any color. Keep coming back to find new styles as you progress.
Wheels (Transportation)

Transportation is crucial for getting around the Neighborhood. At Wheels, you can purchase bikes and skateboards once you reach level 85. These vehicles allow for faster movement and give your MyPLAYER a unique look.
Alley-Oops Tattoos (Tattoos)
Located next to Wheels, Alley-Oops Tattoos lets you ink your MyPLAYER. With VC, you can buy tattoos and customize your character’s body. As you level up, more tattoo spots will become available, so check back for new options.
Swag’s Main Street Clothing (Player Apparel)
If NBA-branded gear isn’t your style, head over to Swag’s Main Street Clothing for a broader selection of streetwear. This store offers everything from casual shirts and pants to jewelry and eyewear, allowing for a more personalized look for your MyPLAYER.

MyTEAM Building
The MyTEAM Building is where you can access the MyTEAM mode directly. You don’t need to go through the main menu to get started. Additionally, a billboard on the roof shows the current featured card packs, making it easy to stay up-to-date with the latest additions.
Foot Locker (Shoes)
At Foot Locker, you can buy shoes for both on-court and street play. Whether you’re looking for sneakers for the NBA court or for your MyPLAYER’s street style, Foot Locker has a variety of brands and styles to choose from.

- Under Armour
- Reebok Classic
- Converse
- Street/Park footwear like boots and low-tops
Neighborhood Events: Billboards

Throughout the Neighborhood, you’ll find billboards that update you on upcoming events and challenges. Make sure to check them frequently for opportunities to earn rewards like VC, apparel, and exclusive items. Some events include:
- Reeses’ Puff Crunch Hour
- Trivia
- Court Conqueror
- Gold Rush
- Dodgeball
Pro-Am Team Arena
Along the road to the right of Foot Locker you will find the Pro-Am Team Arena. In this building you can create and take part in the NBA 2K19 Pro-Am league. Enter the building to get started in the process.
Boost Stand
Located to the right of the Pro-Am Team Arena entrance, the Boost Stand allows you to purchase temporary stat boosts for your MyPLAYER.
- These boosts last for a set number of games and can improve various aspects of your gameplay.
- NBA 2K18 players will be happy to know that this stand is now easier to find.
Under Armour Cages
Beside the Boost Stand is a new area called the Cages. This area is where you go to challenge other squads to pick up games. There are a number of full courts in the Cages. You will notice the Cages are a bit different than other courts in the Neighborhood as they come with Trampolines for an added boost aerial boost.
Ante Up Building
Next to the Cages, you’ll find the Ante Up building, where you can put your VC on the line in high-stakes matches.
- Wager VC against other players to test your skills and potentially win big.
- Inside, you’ll also find the Daily Prize Wheel, which you can spin once per day to win VC, apparel, shoes, and more.
Daily Spin Room
A recent update moved the Daily Spin to a separate room, located to the left of Ante Up and right of the Cages.
- Spin the wheel once per day for a chance to win VC, apparel, shoes, and other rewards.
- Participate in Daily Pick ‘Em, where you predict the winners of real-life NBA games:
- Earn 100 VC per correct pick.
- Go for double or nothing by predicting all winners for that day.
Jordan Rec Center
The Jordan Rec Center, located near the Ante Up building, lets you jump into online games with other MyPLAYERS.
- Simply enter the building, and the game will match you with teammates and opponents.
- Great for improving team chemistry and earning MyPOINTS.
Gatorade Training Facility
To the right of the Jordan Rec Center, the Gatorade Training Facility is where you can train your MyPLAYER and enhance their abilities.
Available Exercises:
- Strength & Agility: Leg Press, Clean Weight, Squats, Ladders, Agility Hurdles, Battle Ropes
- Speed & Stamina: Sprint, Treadmill, Box Jumps
- Upper Body & Core: Bench Press, Dumbbells, Medicine Ball
- Reaction & Coordination: Gatorade Reaction
Benefits of Training:
- Increases stat caps, helping you reach level 99.
- Fills your Turbo (R) to 100% for better stamina in games.
- Shortcut: If you’d rather skip workouts, you can purchase Gatorade products with VC for a Turbo boost.
Team Training Facility

Located on the corner before heading back to MyCOURT, the Team Practice Facility is where you can work on your badges.
- Complete drills (4 per day) to earn badge points.
- Each drill is rated out of 3 stars—aim for 3 stars to get the maximum 700 badge points.
- Perfect for leveling up key badges that give you an edge in games.
VC Sports Management

Located on the same street as MyCOURT, VC Sports Management is where you handle your endorsements and contracts.
- Sign endorsement deals and collect VC checks.
- Speak with your agent for updates on new sponsorships.
- The building is usually closed unless you receive a notification to visit.
Miscellaneous
Below are a few noteworthy miscellaneous things you will find inside the new NBA 2K19 Neighborhood. If you have anything to add, drop it in the comments below.
- There are a number of courts in the middle of the Neighborhood that you can play on.
- You can see a statue commemorating 20 years of 2K just outside of your MyCOURT.
- You can switch servers by going in The Neighborhood Station which is just across the street from Ante Up.
- There is a new Day/Night cycle in the Neighborhood.
- Pressing the right bumper brings up a map of the courts and shows the player level range in the Neighborhood with you.
- There are event days feature limited games and awards.

I bought 2k19 20th anniversary edition and I made a new file for my player because I accidentally skipped the prelude. And now that I made the new account I don’t get any of lebron clothes or shoes when I want to change them in the neighborhood? Anyone know why?
