NBA 2K19 Neighborhood Guide – Everything to Know
NBA 2K19 features a new, reimagined Neighborhood from last year’s. These new changes shake up the core concept of the Neighborhood, and really change the social space we’ve grown use to. To help you navigate the new changes, check out the NBA 2K19 neighborhood guide below.
MyCOURT High-Rise
MyCOURT is the first area of the Neighborhood that you start in. Like previous NBA 2K games, the MyCOURT in NBA 2K19 features a few interesting gameplay aspects. At the MyCOURT you can shoot hoops on your full size court, or watch NBA 2KTV on the flatscreen by the couches. The MyCOURT is customizable, so you can change the look to your liking. This can be done through the Nav screen under customize your MyPLAYER. From there you can then select the MyCOURT tab. From the MyCOURT menu you can change things like backboards, color of the ball, and apply murals to your MyCOURT.
As you begin to level up your character you will unlock more activities for your MyCOURT including an arcade machine and carnival hoops game. The main appeal of the MyCOURT is having a place to chill out with other friends who own NBA 2K19.
NBA Store (Player Apparel)
Facing away from your MyCOURT, head along the street to the left to reach the NBA Store. In the NBA Store you can buy different items to swag out your players look. In the NBA Store you can spend VC on jerseys, hats, watches, and a number of other on court items to make your player look more unique. As you level up your character, the NBA Store will have more items to offer you, so check back intermittently for fresh stock.
What Can You Buy at the NBA Store?
The NBA Store is focused solely on NBA products. These products range from Jerseys to Hats. For a full look at what they sell at the NBA Store, check out the list below:
- Shirts and Hoodies.
- Pants and Shorts.
- NBA Nike Jerseys.
- On-court Accessories.
- New Era Hats.
- Tissot Watches.
- Mitchell & Ness Gear.
- Other Hats.
- Special Gear: Weekly items like short shorts and throwback jerseys.
Doc’s Barber Shop (Haircut)
Beside the NBA Store (down the street slightly) is Doc’s. Doc’s is where you go to get your haircut. At Doc’s you can choose from a wide selection of haircuts to suit your style. As you level up, you will unlock the ability to dye your hair whatever color you like, so comeback to Doc’s if that interests you.
Wheels (Transportation)
Neighboring Doc’s is a new shop called Wheels. Wheels serves as the shop for the various transportation methods you unlock by levelling up your character. You need to be level 85 to enter Wheels. Once you’ve reached this level, you are able to enter the store and check out the bikes and skateboards they have for sale.
Alley-Oops Tattoos (Tattoos)
Directly beside Wheels is Alley-Oops Tattoos. At the tattoo parlour you can get various tattoos for your MyPLAYER using VC. As you level, more areas of your body become available to tattoo. Check back to see if you can ink out any places you may have missed.
Swag’s Main Street Clothing (Player Apparel)
If buying player apparel from the NBA Store doesn’t appeal to you, Swag’s is your next best option. Located just down the street from Alley-Oops, Swagg’s Main Street Clothing features a more diverse, less NBA-centric line of apparel for purchase. In Swag’s you can purchase a wide range of items including new shirts, pants, hats, and more. As you level up your MyPLAYER you can even unlock things like jewelry and eyewear for purchase.
What Can You Buy at Swag’s Main Street Clothing?
Make your way to Swag’s if you want to buy more Streetwear type clothing for your MyPLAYER. For the complete catalogue of items, check out the list below:
- Special Items: Currently Wacky Hats.
- Premium Clothes.

MyTEAM Building
Beside Swag’s is the MyTEAM Building. Inside this building you can access the MyTEAM mode directly, instead of having to navigate to the main menu. On top of the MyTEAM Building is a billboard that shows the current featured card packs.
Foot Locker (Shoes)
At the end of the street you will find Foot Locker. Foot Locker, as the name suggests, deals mainly in shoes. Here you can spend your VC on new kicks for your MyPLAYER. You can choose from On Court shoes and Street/Park shoes.
What do they sell at Foot Locker?
Foot Locker is focused solely on supplying your MyPLAYER with footwear for both On-Court (NBA) and Street/Park scenarios. The brands you are able to choose from when purchasing from either category are as follows:
- Adidas.
- Jordan.
- Air Jordan.
- Nike.
- Under Armour.
- Reebok Classic.
- Converse.
- Random(Street/Park): Boots and Low Tops.
On the next page we will head down the street to the right of the Foot Locker. Down this street you will find the Pro-Am arena, Boost Stand, Cages, and Ante Up.
