How to Reverse the Frenzied Flame in Elden Ring

Complete Millicent’s Questline to Get Miquella’s Needle

Reversing the Frenzied Flame takes a bit of work. Specifically completing a fairly long questline for the NPC called Millicent. This questline starts on the outskirts of Sellia, Town of Sorcery in Caelid. Visit Gowry’s Shack and speak to Gowry. This starts the quesline that will take you through various regions until you arrive at Haligtree. Here you will get Miquella’s Needle. This item allows you to reverse the Frenzied Flame.

Reach the Location to Use the Miquella’s Needle

Just getting Miquella’s Needle is not enough. You need to reach a specific location in the Crumbling Faram Azula which is beyond time. The location is the boss arena of the hidden dragon, Dragonlord Placidusax. Upon gaining access to the boss arena you can use the Miquella’s Needle to reverse the Frenzied Flame.

Reversing the Frenzied Flame is important if you want to unlock other endings in the game. If you have the Frenzied Flame active you are locked into only a couple of possible endings at the game’s end. If you reverse it you can unlock other endings that you might have worked towards by completing the different NPC questlines.
