This giving of candy allows you to unlock different items and rewards for your efforts. Before you can go all candy crazy you will want to stockpile candy for the October 31 evening festivities. Buy Candy From Nook’s Cranny Throughout October

The first method of procuring candy for the Halloween event is to purchase it directly from Nook’s Cranny each day of October. The candy item can be purchased from the miscellaneous cabinet once per day at a cost of 120 Bells. You can stock up on candy by simply visiting the store each day in October and purchasing a piece of candy.

Receive Candy From Villagers on by Trick-or-Treating on Halloween

If you don’t want to buy candy daily there is a second method to getting candy. To do this method purchase a spooky costume from the Able Sisters shop and wear it on Halloween (October 31). Once you are adequately spooked up head around to the different homes on your island when villagers are home. This trick or treating will net you a piece of candy from each villager.

Additionally if you wear the Jack’s Robe and Face the villagers will have additional dialogue when speaking to them and will give you candy immediately, even outside of their homes. They will then recognize you as not being Jack.

The limited time Halloween event requires you to collect a number of pieces of candy and lollipops to give to Jack to receive all the rewards.
