How to Access Devil May Cry 5 DLC Items

Devil May Cry 5 is finally here, and whether you preordered the game or purchased a physical copy, there are some exciting DLC bonuses waiting for you. This guide will walk you through how to access all the DLC items and content that come with preorders, including costumes, weapons, music tracks, and more.

Note on DLC Access

  • Digital DLC: If you purchased the digital version of Devil May Cry 5, the DLC items should automatically download and be available once you start the game.
  • Physical Purchases: If you bought a physical copy, your DLC items likely come with a code that you can redeem through the PlayStation Store or your platform’s digital store.

How to Access DMC5 Preorder Bonuses

If you preordered Devil May Cry 5, you’re entitled to special alternate costumes for the main characters in the game. Here’s how to access them:

  • Character Costumes: The preorder bonuses include alternate costumes for Dante, Nero, and V. To apply these costumes, ensure that you have them installed, and follow these steps:
    1. Start a mission with Dante, Nero, or V.
    2. Select the costume of your choice.
  • Heroines’ Costumes: For the heroines, including Nico, Lady, and Trish, follow these steps:
    1. Go to the Main Menu.
    2. Navigate to Options > Customize Cutscenes.
    3. Choose Select NPC Costumes > Nico/Lady/Trish.

The costumes are called Ex Colors and are exclusive to preorders.

How to Access DMC5 Deluxe Edition DLC Items

You can change the cutscenes via the Customize Cutscene option.

If you purchased the Deluxe Edition of Devil May Cry 5, you’ve unlocked a range of additional content. Here’s how to make use of it:

  • 100,000 Red Orbs: These are automatically applied to your account as soon as you start the game.
  • Devil Breaker Weapons: The Deluxe Edition comes with several special Devil Breakers, including:
    • Mega Buster
    • Pasta Breaker
    • Sweet Surrender
    • Gerbera GP-01
    To equip these Devil Breakers:
    1. Progress to Mission 02.
    2. Go to the Customize menu and select Equipment.
    3. Click Edit and equip the Devil Breakers of your choice.
  • Cavaliere R Weapon: This unique weapon for Dante is unlocked at the end of Mission 11. After acquiring it, you can equip it from the Weapons menu.
  • Alternative Voices: The Deluxe Edition also includes alternate voices for style rank announcers and title calls.
    1. Reach Mission 02.
    2. Go to the Main Menu > Gallery > Jukebox.
    3. Choose Stylish Voice or Title Voice to change the voice settings.
  • Behind-the-Scenes Cutscenes: Access behind-the-scenes development cutscenes by following these steps:
    1. Go to the Main Menu > Options > Cutscene Customize.
    2. Select Development under Cutscene Type.
  • Battle Music: The Deluxe Edition includes music from the Devil May Cry series. It features 3 tracks each from Devil May Cry 1, Devil May Cry 2, Devil May Cry 3, and Devil May Cry 4. To change your battle music:
    1. Reach Mission 02.
    2. Go to the Main Menu > Gallery > Jukebox.
    3. Select Battle Tracks to choose your preferred music.

    I got the alt style rank announcers after already playing the game, but they wont show up in the menu and only show the default announcer.

    I bought the DMC 3 battle music, and when I go to theGallery > Jukebox option > Battle Tracks I am still seeing this as not purchased.
