Honkai Star Rail: How to Unlock the True Free Will Achievement
The True Free Will achievement in Honkai Star Rail can be unlocked during Kafka’s companion mission, titled Letter from a Strange Woman. While the mission involves assisting Kafka, you’ll need to take the opposite approach to obtain this achievement. In this guide, we’ll walk you through the exact steps to unlock it.
How to Unlock the True Free Will Achievement in Honkai Star Rail
Important: Unlocking this achievement will force the Kafka companion mission to end early. If you want to experience the full mission, refrain from unlocking this achievement until afterward.
- Begin Kafka’s Companion Mission
Start the Letter from a Strange Woman quest by interacting with the text message from the “Anonymous” sender. Once you’ve accepted, the mission begins. - Refuse Kafka’s Request
To unlock the True Free Will achievement, you must refuse to help Kafka. Follow these steps:- Visit Kafka near the Divination Commission.
- When speaking to her, choose the following dialogue options:
- “No. I’m here to refuse your request.”
- “So I could say ‘no’ to your face.”
- “I dislike you.”
- Continue selecting “No, I’m leaving” until the dialogue no longer allows it.
- Finally, choose: “I’m leaving—this is my choice.”
- Complete the Mission
After selecting the final option, you’ll be given two choices: to either help Kafka or follow the quest marker nearby. Choose to follow the quest marker and stand on it to complete the mission.
Rewards for Unlocking True Free Will
Upon completing the mission, you will receive all associated rewards along with the True Free Will achievement, which can be found under The Memories We Share in the Achievements section. Unlocking this achievement rewards you with 5x Stellar Jade.
