God of War Ragnarok New Game Plus New Armor
God of War Ragnarok received a new update today that added the long-awaited New Game Plus mode to the game. This new mode allows players to replay the game on a more difficult setting, while being able to use gear and equipment they previously unlocked. Armor of the Black Bear
The Armor of the Black Bear set is the first new set in New Game+. This set auto-equips on Kratos when you begin New Game Plus mode. Its stats focus on Strength and Defense with a perk that rewards your last-second evades with a volley of Bifröst shards. The set consists of the Cloak of the Black Bear, the Wraps of the Black Bear, and the Belt of the Black Bear.
Spartan Armor Set
The next armor set is the Spartan Armor set. The set has a locked-in Power Level of 1 and does not have any Perks or Stats. This makes it the perfect set for those players looking to really push the difficulty of their playthrough. The Spartan Armor is for sale for Hacksilver at Huldra Brothers’ Shop. The set consists of the Sorrow of Sparta, the Scars of Sparta, and the Wes of Sparta. To purchase the entire set costs 58,000 Hacksilver.
Ares Armor Set
The 2018 God of War New Game Plus Ares Armor Set makes its return in the sequel. This set is for sale for Hacksilver at Huldra Brothers’ Shop. It consists of the Cuirass of Ares, the Gauntlets of Ares, and the War Belt of Ares. It costs 58,000 Hacksilver to purchase.
This set contains a unique perk which has a chance to drop a Health Stone on hit. When you stomp the Health Stone, you also get a rage gain alongside a bigger explosion.
Zeus Armor Set
Another set from the 2018 God of War New Game Plus that makes its return is the Zeus Armor Set. This set is available to players by defeating Gná the Valkyrie Queen and completing certain Remnants of Asgard on a NG+ save.
The Zeus Armor Set a glass-cannon set. This set, when equipped, increases Melee and Runic damage. While the damage improvement is nice, players wearing this set increase their incoming damage as well. This makes it the perfect risk-reward set for those players that never get hit.
The new armor sets are not the only things that are new in New Game Plus. There is the new Spartan Aspis shield that players can get. Additionally there is a new black and white visual mode that changes the look of the game.
