Borderlands 3: The Droughts 100% List

After you make it through Covenant Pass you will arrive in The Droughts. The Droughts is the first really open area in Borderlands 3. In this area there are a number of things you need to discover and complete to reach 100% zone progress. To help you do this, consult our The Droughts 100% list below.

The Droughts 100% Zone Progress

The Droughts contains a number of areas for you to explore; missions for you to complete; and Crew Challenges to finish. The breakdown for this area is laid out in more detail below.

The Droughts Missions (8/8)

There are a total of eight missions for players to complete in this area. These missions are a mixture of main story and side missions. Here are the missions you need to complete:

  1. From the Ground Up (Main Story).
  2. Taking Flight (Main Story).
  3. Sanctuary (Main Story).
  4. Bad Reception (Side Mission).
  5. Powerful Connections (Side Mission).
  6. Under Taker (Side Mission).
  7. Skag Dog Days (Side Mission).
  8. Dump on Dump Truck (Side Mission).

Completing the mix of Main and Side missions listed above will net you 8/8 completion for the mission progress of this area.

The Droughts Locations (13/13)

In The Droughts there are a total of 13 unique named areas you need to uncover. These named areas must be found to complete the locations portion of the zone progress. All 13 named areas are as follows:

  1. Crimson Command.
  2. Ellie’s Garage.
  3. Ellie’s Scrapyard.
  4. Super 87 Race Track.
  5. Eridian Dig Site.
  6. Raider’s Drydock.
  7. Bloodbucket’s Chapel.
  8. Sun Smasher Camp.
  9. Warchief’s Domain
  10. Varkid Valley.
  11. Pit of Fools.
  12. Dahl Orbital Control.
  13. Road to Ascension.

To discover the above marked areas you simply need to run into them and have the area name pop up on your screen. Once this is done the area is considered discovered.

The Droughts Fast Travel Station (2/2)

There are two Fast Travel Stations in this zone:

  1. The Droughts.
  2. The Droughts – Highway.

They are basically unmissable.

The Droughts Eridian Writing (2/2)

Eridian Writing can be inspected after defeating Troy Calypso and getting the Eridian Analyzer from The Great Vault. Once you’ve done this you can inspect Eridian Writing for 25 Eridium, Lore, and Trials unlocks. In The Droughts there are two Eridian Writings to collect:

  1. In cave in Varkid Valley.
  2. In Eridian Dig Site.

Inspect both of the Eridian Writings to add them to your zone progress.

The Droughts Red Chests (3/3)

Red Chests are another thing you need to find within zones to reach 100% completion. These chests are hidden throughout zones and must be opened to collect. In The Droughts there are a total of three Red Chests to collect:

  1. Complete side quest Powerful Connections to gain access to secret underground room in the junkyard where Claptrap is.
  2. On top of Ellie’s Garage.
  3. Bloodbucket’s Chapel: Red Chest room accessible by shooting water valve then generator target to bring power to elevator.

The Droughts Crew Challenges (8/8)

There are a total of eight Crew Challenges for players to complete in The Droughts. These challenges include the following:

  1. Dead Claptrap #1.
  2. Dead Claptrap #2.
  3. Legendary Hunt.
  4. Typhon Dead Drop.
  5. Typhon Logs 3x.

    The map for the crew challenges has a typhon log listed as a dead claptrap. And the dead claptrap unmarked in the south east corner.
