Where to Catch Stakataka in Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon
After becoming the first Alola Champion, you will wake up in your house. Upon leaving the house, you will be told of various Ultra Beasts that have attacked the Alola Region. It is up to you to capture these Ultra Beasts. Your first stop on this quest will be Poni Meadows. Inside Poni Meadows I will show you where to catch Blacephalon/Stakataka in Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. *Blacephalon = Pokemon Ultra Sun, Stakataka = Pokemon Ultra Moon.
Where to Find Blacephalon/Stakataka
Ultra Beast Blacephalon/Stakataka can be found in Poni Grove. Head to this area to bump into the Ultra Recon Squad who will give you Beast Balls. To find Blacephalon/Stakataka in this area, simply run around the grass until one appears.
Catching Stakataka
To catch Blacephalon/Stakataka is a bit of a test of luck. Before starting the battle is to make sure to save the game. Also look to utilize the Beast Ball as they have higher chance of catching Ultra Beasts. Besides these tips, treat the battle against Stakataka like any other. I recommend bringing along some type of status effect like sleep or paralysis to make capturing easier. I also suggest having a Pokemon with False Swipe to get Stakataka’s health as low as possible.

Nope. Once you catch the second, they’re gone.
