Where to Catch Mimikyu in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

One of the more popular, new-to-the-series, Pokemon is the disguise wearing Mimikyu. This Pokemon returns for players to catch in Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet. Like other Pokemon in the series, you have to know where to look to find Mimikyu for yourself. This guide shows you where to catch Mimikyu in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

Where to Catch Mimikyu?

Before you can catch yourself a Mimikyu you need to first know where to look. The Mimikyu habitat is said to be in mainly in forests. The Pokedex official entry (shown in the screenshot above), shows three main areas players can look to find Mimikyus in the wild. They are the northern tip of the Great Crater of Paldea, the ruins in the East Province (Area Two), and the named area called Tagtree Thicket.

Where I caught my Mimikyu was in the ruins to the northeast of the East Province (Area Two) Poke Center. Go to this area and wait until a Mimikyu appears for you. This is a rarer spawn so you may need to spend some time here. Once one does spawn you will want to catch it.

Mimikyu is a Ghost/Fairy Type Pokemon. It wears the disguise of a Pikachu to try and fool its enemies. Due to this Pokemon’s rarity it makes a prime candidate for breeding with Ditto. Let me know what you did with your Mimikyu.
