When Does Fortnite Chapter 2 Start? Here’s What We Know

Today has been a crazy day for Fortnite. What started as a seemingly mundane end to Season 10 has now morphed into a huge event that is rippling across the interwebs. Before we dive into starting dates and times, let’s get this out of the way, no Fortnite isn’t done. This IP generates so much money for Epic Games it would be ludicrous for them to turn off the money spigot now. With that aside let’s talk about the Fortnite Chapter 2 start time?

Note: What follows is purely speculation. No one besides Epic Games knows when the new Fortnite Chapter 2 will drop. Keep this in mind while surfing around the internet.

Fortnite Chapter 2 Start Time

After the black hole appeared, Fortnite went offline. It is currently in an offline state where players are greeted with a black hole screen when the login. This screen does nothing but show the black hole (thought there is a fun little minigame to play). This screen is affecting everyone following the conclusion of The End event.

Given the hype The End event generated, having Fortnite down for an extended period of time seems like something Epic Games would want to avoid. I would expect the new Fortnite Chapter 2 to start sometime this evening (maybe at store refresh time), or early tomorrow morning.

At it peak the Fortnite was pulling in millions of viewers across various platforms. This sort of attention means lots of eyeballs and possible sales. With millions of players chomping at the bit to get into the new content you can bet Epic Games wants to release this new update sooner rather than later.

When do you think Fortnite Chapter 2 will start? Let me know in The Pit below.
