Where to Find the Ursine Takeover World Event
You can discover the Ursine Takeover World Event within the Vinland map, specifically in the Vithrloekr area situated in the southwestern region. In this designated spot on the map, you’ll encounter three bears enclosed within a fenced area. Additionally, there’s a man trapped on a ledge above this enclosure, marking the start of the World Event.
How to Complete the Ursine Takeover
This World Event has a straightforward focus on combat. To complete it, you simply need to defeat the three bears in the fenced-in area. Achieving this becomes quite manageable after you’ve acquired armor and weapons during the “Hunter of Beasts” story mission. Once you’re properly equipped, proceed to eliminate the three bears. While battling them, keep an eye out for the Vithrloekr Chest Key, which can be obtained from one of the bears. This key unlocks a chest inside the tent containing valuable materials that can help you acquire additional weapons and armor in Vinland.
After successfully defeating the bears, don’t forget to approach and speak with the man on the ledge to finalize and complete the World Event. For your efforts you will receive +1 Vinland Mysteries, and XP. Completing this quest also allows you to take part in the Breaking Teeth, Not Hearts World Event.

Anyone ever figure out what is up with the key that was in the bear? I assume it’s just one of many annoying glitches in the game, but I’ve gotten all the chests in this area and I still have the key from the bear. I really do try not to take away from the game by looking up cheats online, but when there are SOOO many glitches… you just never know if you are wasting your time or not.
I’m sure it’s a glitch. Mine is riddled with them. I keep keys I no longer need (even lets me reaquire them so I’ll pick them up again by accident) same with notes and such. And don’t get me started on those cairns, there’s a total of 3 it refuses to let me complete even after following a video….For a AAA game and the price you pay, you’d think there wouldn’t be as many glitches.
