Temtem: Heartbeats Guide – Where to Find Elizabeth

In Temtem there are a number of side quests players can complete to earn various rewards. One side quest players can receive is called Heartbeats. In this side quest players need to find a missing person named Elizabeth who was last seen in Tucma. To help you find where Elizabeth is located use our Heartbeats guide below.

Heartbeats Quest Quick Steps

  1. Speak to Jeremy.
  2. Get Climbing Gear.
  3. Find Elizabeth in Bandit Hideout using Climbing Gear.
  4. Find Macuil in Wreck of the Narwhal site.
  5. Catch a Zizare and give it Macuil.
  6. See if Elizabeth likes the Temtem.
  7. Return to Jeremy for Reward of 1x Baton Pass.

How to Start the Heartbeats Quest

Before you can start looking for Elizabeth you first need to acquire the Heartbeats quest. To do this make your way to the Vumbi Dojo and speak to the tamer named Jeremy. Jeremy can be found in the third floor of the second room you enter. To reach him enter the room with the left, up, and right sand traps. Go in the right sand trap then go long up sand trap to fall to his floor. You need to fight him first then you can talk to him after the battle. During this conversation he mentions his sister is missing. Volunteer to find Elizabeth who is somewhere in the wastelands of Tucma.

Get the Climbing Gear

Before you can find Elizabeth you need to advance the story a bit so you can get the Climbing Gear. This item is given to you by an NPC when you scout the Jino Gap. This mission takes place after you’ve completed the Vumbi Dojo. Once you receive the Gravitonic Piolets head to Tucma.

Where to Find Elizabeth

In Tucma head over to the research lab and then surf across the river to the northeast. Land on the beach then use your new climbing gear to straight up the wall to the top. Here you will reach the Bandit Hideout. In this location you will need to battle your way through the bandits to reach a house in the east corner. Inside the house you will find Elizabeth sitting at a table. Speak to here to learn that Macuil is missing. Offer to find him for her.

Where to Find Macuil

You won’t have much to go on to find Macuil. Elizabeth gives you a general description that includes black pants, a blue breathing mask, and spiky hair. She also mentions that he went to the Wreck of the Narwhal site to the south.

Make your way to the Wreck of the Narwhal and speak to Macuil who is on your map with a ?. When you speak to him he will challenge you to a Temtem battle:

  • Tateru (Lv.56).
  • Volarend (Lv.57).
  • Loali (Lv.57).

Upon defeating of Macuil take to him about his relationship with Elizabeth. After this dialogue offer to catch him a Zizare so he can give it to her.

Where to Catch Zizare

The worm-like Temtem Zizare can be found inside the Juu Tunnel in Vumbi on Kisiwa. This Temtem is a rare-ish spawn so you will need to spend a bit of time in the tunnel looking for it. Before going to catch this Temtem be sure you have an adequate stock of Temcards available to use.

Once you catch a Zizare take it back to Macuil then head back up the wall to the bandit hideout. See that Elizabeth likes the gift then ask for payment. You won’t get anything from the couple but you can head back to Jeremy back at the Vumbi Dojo to get 1x Baton Pass. When this item is held you restor 8% of max HP when entering the battlefield.
