In Starfield players must make a very important decision at the end of the game. This decision determines whether or not they remain in the universe or start a new game plus playthrough in another one. When is the Starfield Point of No Return
Completing the main storyline of Starfield is a somewhat short journey. To accomplish this task players simply must complete all of the main storyline missions in the game. As players complete these missions they will arrive at the game’s final story mission called One Giant Leap.
During the One Giant Leap story mission players must build the Armillary and use their ships grav system to warp to Unity. Upon arriving in Unity the player meets themself from a different universe. At this point make a manual save so you can revert back to this moment if you are unhappy with either of these game ending choices:
- Enter Unity: Go into the portal behind other universe you to begin the new game plus mode. This mode comes with both benefits and drawbacks.
- Leave Unity: Walk away from other universe you and continue walking until you are warped back to your ship.
Depending on the decision you make here determines what happens. If you choose to enter Unity you will wake up in new game plus mode. If you go back to your ship you can continue your current. In the latter choice you can build the Armillary at anytime to revisit Unity to make the choice again.
