Where to Get Prismatic Jelly in Stardew Valley
In Stardew Valley’s 1.5 update, you can now tackle Special Orders from the board just south of Mayor Lewis’s house. One such Special Order is given by the local Wizard, M. Rasmodius, who tasks you with finding Prismatic Jelly. Here’s everything you need to know to complete this quest.
How to Start the Prismatic Jelly Quest
To start the required quest, wait for the “Prismatic Jelly” Special Order to appear on the Special Order Board, which unlocks on Fall 2, Year 1. The board is located just south of Mayor Lewis’s house in Pelican Town. Accept the quest when it becomes available to begin.
The Special Order, given by the Wizard, requires you to find and deliver Prismatic Jelly within 5 days, so make sure to complete it in time.
What to Know About the Prismatic Slime and Jelly
To find Prismatic Slimes, explore The Mines, Quarry Mine, or Skull Cavern during the quest. Each slime in these areas has a 1.2% chance of being a Prismatic Slime. This chance is influenced by your daily luck, calculated with the formula 0.012 + Daily Luck / 10.0, but it will not drop below 0.01 (source).
In the Quarry Mine, any Prismatic Slime you find will stay there for the whole day because the mine resets at the end of the day. Even if you pass out due to low health, you can return the next day and continue searching without losing your progress.
When you defeat a Prismatic Slime, it will always drop Prismatic Jelly. However, if you come across a special Prismatic Slime, it will drop unique items instead, so you may not get the Prismatic Jelly you need.
If you wear the Burglar’s Ring, a Prismatic Slime will drop two Prismatic Jellies instead of one. This can make it easier to complete the quest and gather extra jelly.
For PC players, you can use item ID glitches to spawn Prismatic Jelly, but note that it will be a universally hated gift, so consider this if you plan to gift it to NPCs.
What to Do with the Prismatic Jelly
Once you’ve obtained the Prismatic Jelly, make your way to the Wizard’s Tower. To complete the quest, deliver the jelly directly to the Wizard. This step is crucial for finishing the Special Order and moving on to claim your rewards.
After you’ve handed over the Prismatic Jelly, you’ll receive a reward of 5,000g. This will be credited to you through the Quest Journal. Additionally, you will receive the Monster Musk recipe the following day. This item is useful for increasing monster spawns in the game, which can be beneficial for various activities and quests.
