Stardew Valley The Mysterious Qi Quest Guide
In Stardew Valley there are a bunch of side quests for players to complete. One of these side quests is called “The Mysterious Qi.” This side quest tasks you with completing four objectives for a mysterious figure named Mr. Qi. To help you complete the quest here’s our complete Stardew Valley The Mysterious Qi guide
How to Start The Mysterious Qi Quest
To start The Mysterious Qi quest you need to visit a specific location. This location is the Tunnel to the west of the Bus Stop. To reach the tunnel go to the Bus Stop. Stand on the road and walk west. Continue walking along the road to the west until you reach the Tunnel. Go inside to enter the Tunnel interior.
Inside the tunnel continue walking west until you reach the end. Here you will find two lights. On the wall between the lights is a battery powered lock-box you can interact with. If you have a Battery you can place it in the lock-box. If you don’t have a Battery here’s a few ways to get the needed quest item:
- Lightning Rod.
- Traveling Cart.
- Complete the Children’s Bundle at the Community Center.
- Gift from Kent and Pam.
Regardless of where you get the Battery from place one into the lock-box. Inserting the Battery opens the lock-box and gets you a note with peculiar instructions on it. This note begins The Mysterious Qi quest.
Place a Rainbow Shell in the Train Station Box
The next step in The Mysterious Qi quest is to place a Rainbow Shell inside the box at the Train Station. The required Rainbow Shell item is a Foraging item you can collect from The Beach during the summer, from the Traveling Cart, or from Demetrius as a friendship gift.
Once you’ve acquired a Rainbow Shell make your way north of Pelican Town past Robin’s house into the Railroad area. Go to the north in the Railroad area to find a Train Station. Walk onto the platform and over to the box on it. Interact with the box and place the Rainbow Shell inside of it to get another note with peculiar instructions, which tells the next quest objective.
Place 10 Beets in Mayor Lewis’ Fridge
The next step in The Mysterious Qi quest is to place 10x Beets inside of Mayor Lewis’ Fridge. To do this you need to acquire the 10x Beets necessary to place inside. To get Beets you need to grow them on your farm. The seeds for Beets are sold at The Oasis in the Calico Desert. They take 6 days to grow.
Once you’ve grown and harvested at least 10x Beets make your way to Mayor Lewis’ house in Pelican Town. Go inside and walk over to the fridge. Interact with the fridge and place the 10x Beets inside to receive another note with peculiar instructions, which tells the next quest objective.
Feed the Desert Dragon a Solar Essence
The next step in The Mysterious Qi quest is to feed the Desert Dragon a Solar Essence. There is a number of ways to get a Solar Essence, but I will point you towards the two easiest:
- Farm Ghost enemies on The Mines floors 51-79 until they drop Solar Essence.
- Purchase up to 10 Solar Essence per day from Krobus in the Sewers for 80g each (requires the Rusty Key).
Once you’ve acquired a Solar Essence go to The Calico Desert. Head to the dragon skeleton on the ledge above The Oasis. Approach its mouth and interact with it. Give it the Solar Essence to receive the final note with peculiar instructions on it, which tells the next quest objective.
Inspect the Lumber next to your House
The final step in The Mysterious Qi quest is to inspect the Lumber next to your house. On your farm go outside of the house. Face the door and look to the left of it. You will see a pile of lumber on your deck. Walk over to the pile and interact with it to receive the Club Card.
The Club Card is a very special item players will want to obtain during a playthrough. This item allows players to enter the Casino in the backroom of The Oasis shop in the Calico Desert. This room features different gambling games, Mr. Qi, and the ability to purchase unique items.
