The request can be found at this location.

At the beginning of Chapter 10 Leon is freed from the cage he was trapped in. He can then explore the castle more. From the cage go south into the next room. In this room you will find the Blue Request Note for the Merciless Knight. Pick it up to learn the following request details:

  • Request: Defeat the strong threat.
  • Area: Mausoleum.
  • Reward: Spinel x8

To earn the reward you need to go to the Mausoleum area and fight a special knight enemy located there. Keep in mind the fight is fairly hard to complete, so be sure you are prepared before beginning this request.

Merciless Knight

To find the Merciless Knight you need to retrace the steps of Ashley through the clock door in the Library area. Once you are in the Mausoleum you will find the 3x Knight enemies waiting for you. The target is the Gold Knight, but you will most likely need to take them all out to complete the fight.

If you are struggling with the fight a good approach is to bring a lot of Flash Grenades. The moment you get close to the knights at the start of the fight, throw one to get the parasites to appear. Shoot the parasites with a high powered weapon such as the Red9 or Stingray. Repeat until they are dead.

Once you’ve killed the Golden Knight you need to make your way to the Merchant. This can be done at your leisure. When you do finally speak to him he will reward you with Spinel x8. This currency can be used to trade with the Merchant for special items.
