The second trial in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon takes place at Brooklet Hill, under the watchful eye of Captain Lana. This trial revolves around capturing and defeating Wishiwashi to draw out the Totem Araquanid. Here’s how you can easily complete it.
How to Start the Brooklet Hill Trial
The Brooklet Hill Trial is located at the end of Route 5. Once you’ve passed the Pokémon Center, keep going to find the trial entrance. After meeting Captain Lana, you’ll receive a special Surfing ability, which allows you to access the trial’s pools.
Trial Tasks
In this trial, you’ll need to interact with splashing water in various pools. These splashes are caused by Wishiwashi, which you need to defeat in battle. After defeating each Wishiwashi, it will swim downstream, clearing the path for you. Continue to defeat Wishiwashi across several pools until you reach the Totem Araquanid’s lair.
Totem Araquanid Battle
The Totem Araquanid is a powerful level 20 Araquanid with a high HP stat. It can also summon Dewpider to assist it in battle. To defeat Araquanid quickly, use Electric or Grass-type Pokémon. Consider having Pokémon that can inflict status effects on Araquanid, such as Paralysis or Sleep, to make the battle more manageable.
Trial Completion Rewards
Once you defeat Totem Araquanid, you’ll receive the Waterium Z and the Fishing Rod. These are both useful for advancing in the game, especially when you start encountering more water-type Pokémon.
After completing the trial, leave Brooklet Hill to continue your adventure in the Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon story.
As you progress through Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, there are plenty of exciting challenges ahead. If you haven’t already, be sure to claim your Special Rockruff, which evolves into the unique Dusk Form Lycanroc.
Next, take on the Wela Volcano Trial, where you’ll face off against the fiery Totem Salazzle. After that, prepare for the Jungle Trial, a test of your battling skills against Totem Lurantis. Check out our detailed guides to help you complete these trials and strengthen your team!

how do you find all the legendairies
I have basically resigned myself to grinding until I am ridiculously overleveled and fighting this thing. Every single time, my teams are never prepared for ground or water types…ugh. I tried like a thousand times to beat it, but I always lose.
I hear you on that. It can be hard to find the right team to carry you through the whole game.
