Ominous Stake Locations Guide – Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

In Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet one of the end game activities is to open four Shrines across Paldea. These Shrines are each locked by 8 Ominous Stakes hidden throughout the area the Shrine is located. To open the individual Shrines you need to track down the 8 Stakes and destroy them. Where to Find All 8 Ominous Yellow Stakes to Open the Icerend Shrine?

History teacher Raifort explains to you how the stake system works. To open a Shrine you need to find and destroy all 8 of the stakes in that area. To open the Icerend Shrine you need to find all 8 Ominous Yellow Stakes and destroy them. The locations below are where you will find them all.

Ominous Yellow Stake 1

Go to Cascarrafa. Head south behind the gym building. Here you will find a tree next to a waterfall. Behind this tree is the Ominous Yellow Stake. Destroy the stake.

Ominous Yellow Stake 2

Go to the West Province (Area One) – North fast travel Pokecenter. From this location head east/southeast. You will pass some ruins. On a ledge on the south end of the ruins is the Ominous Yellow Stake. Jump up to the ledge and destroy the stake.

Ominous Yellow Stake 3

To the west of the Pokemon League building there is a flat, grassy, area. Go to this area. Walk along the north cliffside. You will find a crack in the cliff. Inside this crack is the Ominous Yellow Stake. Destroy the stake.

Ominous Yellow Stake 4

Head directly south/southeast of the Icerend Shrine door. Here you will come across a large hole in the mountains. In the middle of this hole there is a platform that has an Omnious Yellow Stake on it. Jump down and destroy it.

Ominous Yellow Stake 5

This Ominous Yellow Stake is located on a small ledge on the eastside of the valley where my icon is on the map. It is fairly easy to reach by just heading southeast from the West Province (Area One) – Central Pokecenter. Jump down onto the ledge and destroy it.

Ominous Yellow Stake 6

This Ominous Yellow Stake is a bit misleading. It looks like it is just along the pathway heading to the South Province (Area Six) section, but it is actually in a tunnel beneath the path. The entrance is on either side of the path at the bottom of the cliffs. The arrows on the map show where to go to find the entrances I speak of. Inside the tunnel is the stake, destroy it.

Ominous Yellow Stake 7

Head to the north of the named location called Leaking Tower of Paldea. On the cliffside to the north, looking down on the path with the tunnel we visited to find the previous stake, you will find this Ominous Yellow Stake. Make your way down to it and destroy it.

Ominous Yellow Stake 8

Go directly east of the Alfornado city. Eventually you will come to a river with a waterfall. At the top of the waterfall on a small ledge you will find this Ominous Yellow Stake. Destroy it!

Once you’ve found and destroyed all of the Stakes listed above you can open the Icerend Shrine. This Shrine is home to the Legendary Pokemon called Chien-Pao. Good luck catching it!

Where to Find All 8 Ominous Purple Stakes to Open the Grasswither Shrine?

History teacher Raifort explains to you how the stake system works. To open a Shrine you need to find and destroy all 8 of the stakes in that area. To open the Grasswither Shrine you need to find all 8 Ominous Purple Stakes and destroy them. The locations below are where you will find them all.

Ominous Purple Stake 1

This Ominous Purple Stake is located just above where the Grasswither Shrine door is located. Go to the map location shown above and you will find it sitting out in the open. Make sure you destroy it!

Ominous Purple Stake 2

Go to Los Platos. Head south of the town and go up to the nearby pond on top of the cliffs. At this location looking down at the town is the Ominous Purple Stake. Destroy the stake.

Ominous Purple Stake 3

From the Los Platos Pokecenter head to the northeast. Go up onto the ridge. On the ridge looking down at the Pokecenter is the Ominous Purple Stake. Walk over and destroy the stake.

Ominous Purple Stake 4

Northeast of Los Platos on your map you will see a spiral mountain. Go to the top of this spiral mountain. At the top you will find the Ominous Purple Stake. Destroy the stake.

Ominous Purple Stake 5

This Ominous Purple Stake is located directly northwest of the spiral mountain one where we collected Stake 4 from. Go to the mountain and go northwest until you reach the river outside of Mesagoza. Here you will find a gate in the water. On a ledge next to the gate is the stake. Destroy it.

Ominous Purple Stake 6

This Ominous Purple Stake can be reached by crossing over the gate next to Stake 5. On the other side continue heading northeast. You will encounter the stake on top of a rock. Make sure your destroy it!

Ominous Purple Stake 7

Go to the Artazon (West) Pokecenter. From this landmark head south. Climb up the cliff there and you will find the Ominous Purple Stake on top. Destroy it then look at the wonderful windmills.

Ominous Purple Stake 8

This Ominous Purple Stake is a bit hard to explain. Go to the map marker, shown above, near the edge of the crater. You will find the stake sitting on top of the cliffs in the grassy part. You can see the watch tower nearby. When you do find it destroy it.

Once you’ve found and destroyed all of the Stakes listed above you can open the Grasswither Shrine. This Shrine is home to the Legendary Pokemon called Wo-Chien. Good luck catching it!

Where to Find All 8 Ominous Blue Stakes to Open the Firescourge Shrine?

History teacher Raifort explains to you how the stake system works. To open a Shrine you need to find and destroy all 8 of the stakes in that area. To open the Firescourge Shrine you need to find all 8 Ominous Blue Stakes and destroy them. The locations below are where you will find them all.

Ominous Blue Stake 1

Make your way to Levincia. Leave the town by heading northeast towards the lighthouse. Overlooking the lighthouse there is a ledge you can get on top at the map marking shown above. On top of this ledge is a tree with the Ominous Blue Stake by it. Destroy it.

Ominous Blue Stake 2

You will find this Ominous Blue Stake along the southern edge of the Glaseado Mountain. Fly to the Dalizapa Passage Pokecenter and head northwest from there to reach the ledge that has the stake on it. Climb up to the stake and destroy it.

Ominous Blue Stake 3

On the northeast edge of the Tagtree Thicket named area there is a large ledge you can stand on. On this ledge there is a tree. Next to this tree is the Ominous Blue Stake. Destroy it.

Ominous Blue Stake 4

You will find this Ominous Blue Stake at the very top of the mountain above the Firescourge Shrine entrance. There is a small grassy patch at the peak that has the stake on it. Climb up to the stake and destroy it.

Ominous Blue Stake 5

This Ominous Blue Stake is located in the small ruins to the southeast of the Firescourge Shrine entrance. At the map marker shown above is the ruins. Go inside to find the stake. Destroy it.

Ominous Blue Stake 6

This Ominous Blue Stake is located to the east of the North Province (Area Two) Pokecenter. To reach it simple climb the cliff to the east. On top you will find tree that has the stake beside it. Go over to the stake and destroy it.

Ominous Blue Stake 7

You will find this Ominous Blue Stake to the northeast of the North Province (Area One) Pokecenter. It is on the round mountain on your map. Go to the top of the mountain to find the stake sitting there. Destroy it.

Ominous Blue Stake 8

This Ominous Black Stake can be found by walking north from where we got the Blue Stake 7. Continue along the shoreline until you reach the location shown on the map above. Here you will find a tree that has the stake beside it. Destroy it.

Once you’ve found and destroyed all of the Stakes listed above you can open the Firescourge Shrine. This Shrine is home to the Legendary Pokemon called Chi-Yu. Good luck catching it!

Where to Find All 8 Ominous Green Stakes to Open the Groundblight Shrine?

History teacher Raifort explains to you how the stake system works. To open a Shrine you need to find and destroy all 8 of the stakes in that area. To open the Groundblight Shrine you need to find all 8 Ominous Green Stakes and destroy them. The locations below are where you will find them all.

Ominous Green Stake 1

Head west from the Groundblight Shrine entrance until you reach the shoreline. Here you will find some rocks you can climb up. On top of these rocks is the Ominous Green Stake. Destroy it.

Ominous Green Stake 2

Head directly east from the Groundblight Shrine entrance. Eventually you will reach the Glaseado Mountain. On the northside facing the North Paldean Sea you will find the Ominious Green Stake embedded in the snowy mountain. Climb up to it and destroy it.

Ominous Green Stake 3

This Ominious Green Stake is located on the Casseroya Lake Islet in the middle of the lake. Go to the east end of the islet to find the stake. Climb up and destroy it.

Ominous Green Stake 4

South of the Casseroya Lake Islet you will find so another set of smaller islets. Go to the north one. On this north one you will find the Ominious Green Stake. Climb up and destroy it.

Ominous Green Stake 5

This Ominous Green Stake is located on a southwest shoreline of the Casseroya Lake. There is a small rock ledge you can climb up where the map marker is shown in the screenshot above. Here you will find the stake. Destroy it.

Ominous Green Stake 6

This Ominous Green Stake is located inside the Colonnade Hollow sight in West Province (Area Two). Go into the tunnel and look for the stake on top of a pillar inside. Climb up and destroy it.

Ominous Green Stake 7

Head to the northwest from Green Stake 6 to reach a river. Here you will find a little waterfall. On the south bank of the river is the Ominous Green Stake. Destroy it.

Ominous Green Stake 8

Follow the river east until you reach the edge of the Glaseado Mountain. Here you will find a waterfall. Climb up the rocks beside the waterfall until you reach a ledge that has the Ominous Green Stake on it. Destroy the stake.

Once you’ve found and destroyed all of the Stakes listed above you can open the Groundblight Shrine. This Shrine is home to the Legendary Pokemon called Ting-Lu. Good luck catching it!
