7 Star Tera Raid Pikachu Moves
Before diving head first into the Level 100 Pikachu Tera Raid you will want to know what you are going up against. The Pikachu you face is Tera Type Water. Additionally you will want to know the Pokemon’s moveset. The Level 100 Pikachu you face has the following moves during the raid:
Move | Description |
---|---|
Rain Dance | The user summons a heavy rain that falls for five turns, powering up Water-type attacks. The rain also lowers the power of Fire-type attacks. |
Surf | The user attacks everything around it by swamping its surroundings with a giant wave. |
Thunder | A wicked thunderbolt is dropped on the target to inflict damage. This may also leave the target with paralysis. |
Play Rough | The user attacks by playing rough with the target. This may also lower the target’s Attack stat. |
Iron Tail | The target is slammed with a steel-hard tail. This may also lower the target’s Defense stat. |
Lighting Rod (Ability) | The Pokemon draws in all Electric-type moves. Instead of taking damage from them, its Sp. Atk stat is boosted. |
Light Ball (Item) | An item to be held by Pikachu. It’s mysterious orb that boosts Pikachu’s Attach and Sp. Atk stats. |
The current Tera Raid Pikachu offers some interesting coverage issues. The raid Pikachu deals Water, Electric, Iron, and Fairy type damage making it a bit hard to counter since it has a wide coverage on grass types that could face off against it.
Pokemon to Use Against Raid Pikachu
When you start the will find that Pikachu Terastalizes immediately and triggers Rain Dance which buffs its Surf move. It then gets a second turn during which it attacks with Surf. To counter this you need to find a Pokemon build that can survive the initial onslaught of damage, chip away at its shield until it can Terastlize, and then finally defeat Pikachu. You can watch my first fight against Pikachu here.
Lurantis (Solo): Easily one of the best builds for this raid is Lurantis. This Grass-type Pokemon is one of the few Pokemon capable of going up against Pikachu solo. To create a build you can use ensure your Lurantis is Level 100 and make sure it has the Contrary Ability. Once you’ve done this secure a Shell Bell and have Lurantis hold it. Round out the build by hyper-training Lurantis and maxing EV’s of Special Attack and HP.
Teach Lurantis These Moves
- Sunny Day.
- Leaf Storm (Max PP).
- Solar Beam.
- Synthesis.
Once you’ve created the perfect Lurantis, the fight itself is fairly simple. Use Sunny Day to nullify Rain Dance and then cheer Heal. Spam Leaf Storm until you trigger Teralization. Teralize and spam Leaf Storm some more until Pikachu is defeated. With the Shell Bell you can sustain your life to finish the fight.
Other Meta Pokemon
- Appletun.
- Clodsire.
- Arboliva.
- Wo Chien.
What Items does Pikachu Drop during the 7 Star Raid?
Like other raids Pikachu drops items when it is caught/defeated. The items Pikachu can drop are high level Raid items and you get a lot of them. You will not get everything each time you complete the Tera Raid. There is a percentage chance drop rate for each item, which you can find over on Serebii. The list of things you can potentially get from this raid are as follows:
