Step 1: Progress to Chapter 3 – “A Hard Place”

Moxxi sends you to gather three magazines left behind by Scooter. The locations of the magazines are marked on your map, making it straightforward to track them down. Each magazine contains a piece of Scooter’s legacy, so be sure to read any dialogue or notes that appear for added context.

Help Ellie Honor Scooter’s Memory

Once you collect all three magazines, return to Moxxi. She will reveal the next part of Scooter’s will, which passes ownership of Catch-A-Ride to his sister, Ellie. Ellie tasks you with setting up the Catch-A-Ride machine and then joining her for a special stunt.

Set up the machine as Ellie instructs, then meet her by the ramp she built. Make the dramatic jump to honor Scooter’s legacy, then return to Ellie to complete the quest and claim your reward—the Hats Off skin.

Step 3: Equip the Hats Off Skin

After completing the quest, the Hats Off skin is added to your inventory. Head to any Catch-A-Ride station to equip it on your Bandit Technical vehicle. This unique skin features a distinct design that serves as a heartfelt nod to Scooter’s memory and his iconic catchphrase, “Catch a Riiiiide!”
