How to Unlock the Emily 14 Heart Event in Stardew Valley
In the 1.4 update of Stardew Valley, ConcernedApe introduced new Heart Events for your spouses, including a special 14 Heart Event. This guide will walk you through how to unlock the Emily 14 Heart Event in Stardew Valley, one of the game’s most beloved characters.
How to Reach 14 Hearts with Emily
To unlock Emily’s 14 Heart Event, you’ll need to reach 14 hearts in your relationship with her. Starting from 0 hearts, you’ll first need to build a friendship by giving her gifts and interacting with her daily. Once your relationship reaches 10 hearts, you can marry her using a Mermaid’s Pendant.
After marriage, you will be at 10 hearts. From there, continue to build your relationship by giving her gifts to boost those hearts to the maximum of 14.
Emily’s Favorite Gifts
To increase your relationship with Emily quickly you can focus on giving her any of the following items that she loves:
- Amethyst
- Aquamarine
- Cloth
- Emerald
- Jade
- Ruby
- Survival Burger
- Topaz
- Wool
Gift these items regularly until you reach 14 hearts. Once you’ve maxed out your relationship, Emily will acknowledge your bond with the dialogue:
“Thanks for a great year, [your character name]. I’m excited to tackle next year together.” – Emily
How to Do Emily’s 14 Heart Event
Once you’ve reached 14 hearts, leave exit the farmhouse between 6am and 8:20am to start Emily’s special 14 Heart Event. As you leave Emily will stop you and ask for your help in collecting 200 Fiber, which she needs for a special project.
Errand for Your Wife: Collect 200 Fiber for Emily
Fiber can be gathered from several sources. If you don’t have enough on hand, here are the best ways to collect it:
- Weeds: Weeds have a 50% chance of dropping Fiber. They appear randomly on your farm and can also be found on floors 25-29 and 105-109 of the Mines.
- Wilderness Golems: These creatures, found on the Wilderness Farm Map, have a 90% chance of dropping Fiber when defeated.
- Desert Vendor: Purchase Fiber from the Desert vendor for 5x Stone each.
- Fiber Seeds: Craft Fiber Seeds using 2x Clay and 1x Mixed Seeds. Plant them to grow Fiber, which can be harvested once fully grown.
- Farming Skill (Lvl 10): At Farming Level 10, you can use the “Botanist” profession, which increases the chances of Fiber dropping from Weeds.
After gathering 200 Fiber, give it to Emily as you would any other gift. She’ll need a few days to complete her surprise for you.
Receiving Emily’s Outfit
Three days after delivering the Fiber, head out and enter your farmhouse sometime between 8:00 PM-12:00 AM to trigger the final cutscene. In this event, Emily presents you with a special outfit she made just for you. The outfit includes:
- Magic Hat
- Magic Shirt
- Genie Pants
- Emily’s Magic Boots: Provides +4 Defense and +4 Immunity
This unique outfit is your reward for completing Emily’s 14 Heart Event.

when you go to your menu (where you find inventory, hearts, etc) on the main page there should be a picture of you. to the right side there will be slots with clothing in them take the shirt, pants, hat, etc and put them in the right slot, then you should be wearing the outfit
