How to Unlock Maruto Cuts in Vampire Survivors

The Vampire Survivors second piece of DLC content, Tides of the Foscari, is out now and with it comes the addition of 8 new DLC characters to unlock. In the DLC there are a total of 8 new characters you can unlock by completing specific tasks. One of the characters you can unlock is the large sword wielding Maruto Cuts. How to Unlock Maruto Cuts

To unlock Maruto you need to complete a very specific challenge that involves SpellString, SpellStream, and SpellStrike together to make the evolution SpellStorm. To easily complete this challenge use Eleanor Uziron. Once you start the run simply level up Eleanor and get the SpellStream and SpellStrike weapons. Once you have all three weapon level them up and evolve them into the SpellStorm.

OPTION 2: If you have the Scrolls of Morbane unlocked you can input a Spell to unlock Maruto instead. The Spell to unlock Maruto Cuts is animeismypassion. Simply input this Spell on the Secrets screen to unlock the character.

Maruto Cuts Starting Weapon and Passive

Once you’ve completed the above challenge you will get Maruto. This character must be purchased before you can use it. Maruto Cuts starts runs with the starting weapon called the Eskizzibur. This is a large sword that shoots projectiles and retaliates with a powerful smash when hit. This weapon evolves into the Legionnaire by reaching +8 on it and having +8 Armor.

Alongside the starting weapon Maruto Cuts starts with a special passive that says “Gains a temporary Armor bonus after getting damaged. Receives Academy Badge at Level 30.” This character’s starting stats (without any buffs) are:

• Max Health: 120.
• Armor: +1.
• Might: +20%.
• Curse: +10%.
