In the August 2020 update for Control the developers added a number of new additions to the game including cheats. That’s right, you can now turn on things like immortality and one-shot kills while exploring the FBC. To learn more about these new systems check out our how to turn on cheats in Control guide below.

Access Assist Mode

The new cheat menu is available in-game by accessing Options > Gameplay – Assist Mode. Under the Assist Mode heading there are a number of options you can select to make the game easier. These options are as follows:

Assist Mode: Enable/Disable.

  • Enhanced Aim Assist.
  • Aim Snapping.
  • Energy Recovery Multiplier.
  • Damage Reduction Multiplier.
  • Ammo Recovery Multiplier.
  • Immortality.
  • One-Hit Kills.

As of right now it appears nothing is currently effected by running Assist Mode. You can turn on things like Immortality and One-Hit Kills and still progress in the game. You are also able to unlock Trophies/Achievements.

That’s all you need to know to turn on cheats in Control. These new Assist Mode options allow players that were really struggling with the game to progress while also letting others just have fun with cheats if they so desire. Should more games have modes like this? Let me know in the comments below.
