Hollow Knight: Silksong, the much anticipated sequel to Hollow Knight, has now been officially confirmed for both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 when it launches. Prior to the announcement, the game was confirmed for release on Nintendo Switch, Xbox consoles, and PC.

News of the release came from the official PlayStation Twitter account. The post itself lacks much in detail, but it tells players to “Sharpen your needles” since Hollow Knight Silksong is now confirmed for release on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

Since it’s announcement back in 2019 during E3 2019, Hollow Knight Silksong has become one of the most anticipated releases for fans. Every time there has been a live stream from the major publishers, fans have hoped for more details on the game. Recently, to the enjoyment of fans, those details have begun to emerge.

During the Xbox and Bethesda 2022 Showcase earlier this year, a major new trailer for the game was released. This trailer revealed new gameplay footage. Interestingly, the trailer lacked a release date. Xbox then followed up the showcase by saying that games shown would be releasing in the next 12 months. If this is the case players can expect Hollow Knight Silksong to release in 2023.

Hollow Knight Silksong is looking to build on the metroidvania gameplay that was found in Hollow Knight. Instead of playing Knight, players control Hornet who wields a large sharp needle as a weapon. Hornet must explore the mysterious world of Pharloom to learn why she was brought there.

Hollow Knight Silksong will release on PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, and PC. It will be available for free on Xbox Game Pass when it releases.

I didn’t think I’d hear anything new from this site. Everything looks different, but each thing is interesting on its own
