Hellblade Senua’s Sacrifice Ending
Having finished my playthrough of Hellblade Senua’s Sacrifice, I’ve finally gotten around to putting the ending up. If you clicked on this by mistake, please be aware THAT THERE ARE HEAVY SPOILERS BELOW. Before I drop the Hellblade Senua’s Sacrifice ending, let me first say that there is only one ending to the game. Enjoy! SPOILERS!!!!
Hellblade Senua’s Sacrifice Ending
Explanation: In order to save Dillion, Senua gives the ultimate sacrifice, her life. Senua sacrifices herself to Hela, the ruler of Helheim. This act is symbolic as it results in the ‘killing’ of the negative thoughts inside Senua’s head. By accepting and overcoming the death of Dillion, the death of her mother, the treatment by her father, Senua emerges from Helheim without the negative voices and baggage she started the journey with. The Rot that used to cause fear, instead “is different”. Hellblade concludes with Senua inviting us to “follow her” as there “is another story to tell” (Sequel or DLC?).
As this is a game that is filled with interesting and deep subject matter, I am sure you have your own thoughts on the ending. I am curious to hear them.
