GTA Online Mansions Locations, Costs, Upgrades, and More Explained
The long-awaited A Safehouse in the Hills update for GTA Online has finally arrived, and it brings one of the most exciting property expansions the game has seen yet. This update could potentially mark the end of new content for GTA Online, making its additions even more significant. The biggest highlight of the A Safehouse in the Hills update is the introduction of three new mansions available for purchase, and this guide walks you through everything you need to know about the GTA Online mansions.
How to Buy a Mansion in GTA Online
You can purchase mansions through the Prix Luxury Real Estate app on your in-game phone or computer. All three properties are available for purchase, and the process works just like buying any other GTA Online property.
After selecting a mansion, you can personalize it with upgrades before completing your purchase. You can also buy all three mansions, so there’s no need to worry about committing to a single property.
Where Are Mansions Located in GTA Online
There are three mansion locations, each with a unique view:

These mansions do not generate income, unlike GTA Online businesses. Choosing a mansion is based purely on personal preference—or buy all three if you can afford it.
How Much Do the Mansions Cost in GTA Online
Mansions are end-game, high-end properties, with prices reaching tens of millions when fully upgraded.

What Can You Do with the Mansion in GTA Online
The new GTA Online mansions aren’t just luxury homes—they’re fully customizable estates packed with upgrades and amenities to fit your style and gameplay.
Here’s a breakdown of the main rooms and features you’ll find in your mansion, along with what they do:
Base Interior Rooms
Each mansion comes with a fully furnished interior, including:
- Master and guest bedrooms
- Lounge areas
- Home theatre
- Cigar room
- Bars
- Kitchen
- Club
- Elevator
- Secure Vault – Displays the amount of money you currently have in cash and gold bars
You can choose from three main interior styles for your mansion: San Andreas Coastal (Free), Los Santos Loft ($497,500), or Vinewood Regency ($612,500).
You can also customize your mansion with Tints ($100,000) and Patterns ($245,000) to change the interior look.
Additionally you can add personality with various artworks and statues decorations. To place these decorations, open the Interaction Menu > Mansion Management > Customization > Decorations while inside your mansion.
Office
Located on the main floor, the office gives you quick access to both the Master Control Terminal and a big screen to interact with your chosen, free, AI assistant.
The Master Control Terminal lets you manage any businesses you own and check your mansion’s security cameras. You can look at stock, sell goods, and buy upgrades for each business right from the terminal.
Your AI assistant let’s you use the mansion’s various services, including Fast Travel, Business Production Boost, Champagne Service, the ability to host parties, and options to leave the property using a personal vehicle, luxury vehicle, or helicopter.
Trophies & Plaques Room
The Trophy/Plaques room is in the mansion’s Lower Level. Here you can place Trophies and Plaques by going to Interaction Menu > Mansion Management > Customization > Trophies/Plaques while in the room.

- The Star of San Andreas – Unlock all GTA Online achievements
- The Big One! – Complete the Big Score
- High Achiever – Attain 100% game completion
- Centurion – Reach Rank 100
- Quincentenary – Reach Rank 500

- Nine Figures – Earn $100,000,000 in overall income
- Half a Bil – Earn $500,000,000 in overall income
- Three Comma Club – Earn $1,000,000,000 in overall income
- Platinum – Unlock 100 platinum Pause Menu awards
- Going Pro – Complete all heists as leader
- Criminal Mastermind – Complete all Criminal Mastermind challenges
- Nimble Fingers – Earn $50,000,000 from Heists
- Doom Profiteer – Complete 15 Acts as leader during the Doomsday Heist
- Clean Sweep – Steal $50,000,000 from the vault during The Diamond Casino Heist
- Beachfront Bonus – Steal $50,000,000 in primary and secondary targets during The Cayo Perico Heist
- Well Liked – Receive 1000 likes for content you have created
- Entrepreneur – Own 10 businesses
- Car Connoisseur – Own 25 Personal Vehicles
- Arena War Legend – Unlock all Arena War trophies
- 8-Bit Hero – Unlock all Arcade trophies
- The Collector – Find all items for 7 Collectibles
- Flying Ace – Earn a gold medal in all Flight School lessons
- Adversary Alpha – Win 100 Adversary Modes
- Speed Freak – Win 100 Races
- Distinguished Driver – Reach Reputation Level 250 at the LS Car Meet
- Long Story Short – Complete 5 story missions
- Veteran – You character is over 10 years old
- Spotlight – Have a job featured in a Community Series
- World Record Holder – Obtained a world record in any race
- Going Places – Complete Tier 4 in 35 areas of Career Progress
Additionally, there are 36 unlockable Plaques you can hang on the wall in the trophy room that are tied to completing specific Tiers of missions and specialties (weapons, vehicles, game modes, etc.).
Podium Car (Purchasable Add-On)
The Podium Car platform is located in the Trophies/Plaques area of your mansion and costs $650,000 to unlock. Once purchased, you can showcase one vehicle on it from your collection.
To place a car on the podium it needs to be in your mansion’s garage. This can be done using the tablet on the wall in Garage B1. Select the car you wish to show and push the Move to Podium button.
While a vehicle is on display, it won’t be your active car, but you can retrieve it using the Mansion Services (exit via Personal Vehicle) or have the mechanic deliver it for use whenever you need it.
Private Salon & Spa
The Private Salon is located in the lower level of your mansion, within the spa area. Here, you can use Makeover and Tattoo services, just like in the open world, to change your character’s hair, facial hair, makeup, and tattoos.
The Spa features a pool, relaxing music, Green Juice to drink, and areas to unwind. Spending time here gradually improves your character’s mental state.
You can even put on a White Silk Robe by interacting with the towels to fully embrace the relaxation experience, as I did in the screenshot above.
Arcade (Purchasable Room)
If you own an Arcade property and have completed the first setup mission, you can add an Arcade room to your mansion. Located in the mansion’s Lower Level, this room costs $950,000 and comes with playable arcade cabinets for you to use whenever.
Armory (Purchasable Room)
You can add an Armory to your mansion for $720,000. Located in Basement Level 1, the Armory gives you access to Weapon Loadouts, the Weapon Workshop, purchasable gear, and some free ammo.
Vehicle Workshop (Purchasable Room)
You can add a Vehicle Workshop to your mansion for $880,000, located on Basement Level 2. This room lets you perform vehicle upgrades, including both cosmetic and performance modifications.
If you’re a GTA+ member, your Vehicle Workshop also grants access to additional upgrades from Benny’s Original Motor Works, Drift Tuning, and Missile Lock-On Jammers.
What Can You Do Outside the Mansion in GTA Online
The mansion includes a few outdoor features for players to enjoy:
- Fire Pits
- Driveway that holds two cars
- Multiple Pools, hot tubs, and bars
- Dartboard mini-game on bar in big pool area
Rooftop Helipad
On the roof of your mansion, there’s a helipad that comes with a free Buckingham Volatus. You can use this helicopter to fly anywhere in Los Santos whenever you’d like.
Outdoor Gym and Yoga Areas
There are two outdoor activities at the mansion that provide gameplay benefits.
The gym, located on the upper balcony, includes a bench press, pull-up bar, EZ curl bar, and mats for push-ups and sit-ups. Using the gym increases your character’s Strength stat.
Yoga mats are located on the mansion’s roof. Performing yoga with full stamina gives your character a temporary sprint and swimming speed boost.
What Services Does the Mansion Provide in GTA Online
There are a few services and miscellaneous things in the mansions that are not tied to any specific room. These I will detail below for your information.
- Snack Bowls by the theatre room and front door you can use to refill your inventory
AI Assistant
Your AI Assistant is a free upgrade included with your mansion. It lets you choose one of three AI personalities to act as your personal assistant.
Unlocking this feature also grants access to special Mansion Services, which you can use via the wall-mounted tablets or by calling your AI while free roaming (with paired down services).
The services your AI can provide are:
- Fast Travel to properties you own
- Business Production Boost (24 IRL Hours)
- Champagne Service
- The ability to host parties
- Options to leave the property using a personal vehicle, luxury vehicle, or helicopter
All three AI Assistant have their own unique personalities. I personally like Angel… She is a bit of a freaky lady (if you know what I mean).
You can change your currently active assistant at anytime by selecting your mansion property on the Prix Luxury Real Estate listings website and then renovating it.
Private Security Team (Purchasable Service)
Arguably one of the best features of the mansions is the Private Security Team. This service costs $1,750,000 and provides protection for all of your businesses, preventing raids from police and other criminal orgs!
Pets
Mansion owners can add pets to their property, including a dog and a cat, each costing $15,000. Once purchased, the pets will roam the mansion, and you can interact with them by petting them—unless they’re asleep.
To buy pets, find their kennels on your mansion property and interact with them to open the pet selection screen. You can choose different types and colors, and give your pets a custom name.
Mansion Management
You can manage your mansion through the Mansion Management option on the Interaction Menu. This lets you:
- Invite players to your mansion
- Customize decorations, trophies, and plaques, and show or hide gym equipment and pets
- Adjust audio settings and turn the AI assistant’s voice on or off
- Show or hide staff
- Set the mansion dress code
- Set hot tub clothing options
To use the Mansion Management options, make sure you are inside your mansion and on the appropriate floor for the feature you want to access.
What Happens If You Buy Multiple Mansions in GTA Online
You are not limited to owning just one mansion—you can purchase all three properties if you wish. Before doing so, here are a few important details to keep in mind:
- Pets are the same across all mansions
- AI Assistant carries over between properties
- The Private Security Team only needs to be purchased once
- The Michael cutscene and missions only trigger for the first mansion you buy
- Business Production bonus can only be applied to one business
This means subsequent mansion purchases won’t give you duplicate benefits, but you can still enjoy all the features and upgrades across your properties in different locations.
The A Safehouse in the Hills update doesn’t just add mansions to GTA Online. Players can also enjoy new drip-feed vehicles, the KnoWay Out missions, and a special Michal De Santa mission called Home Sweet Home.
