In Elden Ring there is an item called Margit’s Shackle. This item is reusable and it has a very interesting effect on the boss Margit. To learn more about this item see our Elden Ring Margit’s Shackle item guide below.

Where to Get Margit’s Shackle

You can get Margit’s Shackle from a very popular returning NPC, Patches. Patches makes his triumphant return to the soulsbourne series. Patches can be found inside the Murkwater Cave dungeon in Limgrave. When you enter this dungeon he is found inside of the cave to the northeast.

Once you enter the cave approach the treasure chest and patches will attack you. You can either defeat him fully or spare him when you lower his health to half. If you kill him you get his bell and if you spare him he sets up shop in the cave. Regardless of your choice from Patches inventory is where you will find Margit’s Shackle for 5,000 Runes.

What to Do with Margit’s Shackle

Item: “A fetish bathed in golden magic. Shackles were used to bind the accursed people called the Omen, and these ones where made to keep a particular Omen under strictest confinement. Though faint, the shackles still retain vestiges of power – enough to trap the once-bound Margit on earth, if only for a short time.”

If you played FromSoftware’s Bloodborne you will have a general idea as to what this item does. Similar in nature to Gascoigne’s Tiny Music Box, Margit’s Shackle can be triggered during the fight with Margit to give yourself the edge in the fight. When you use this consumable it causes Margit to be pulled to the earth and trapped for a few seconds, creating a large window to go on the offensive.

If you are having troubles defeating Margit, take the time to grab the Margit’s Shackle item from Patches. This will turn the battle in your favor since you can use it multiple times.
