Dying Light 2 Viral Rush Event
The Dying Light 2 Viral Rush weekend event is now live in the game. As the name of this event suggests, players can earn rewards by defeating strong Viral enemies in the game. Killing certain amounts of Virals, both solo and as part of the community, will earn you various in-game rewards. Viral Rush Event Start and End Dates
Before we dive right into the gameplay details about the Viral Rush event it is important to know how long the event is running for. The Viral Rush event runs from April 20-May 4 at 4 pm CET. While the event is active players have a chance to earn a variety of rewards by hitting personal and community milestones.
Viral Rush Event Goals & Rewards
Event description: The horrors of the night have arrived to take over the day! Virals have mutated out of control and they are stronger than ever. They’re known for being merciless pursuers, but this time, not even the safety of the daylight could save you from their grasp.
The Viral Rush week event is free for players to participate in. While the event is active players must complete specific goals in-game to earn rewards. The goals for this event is to cut off Viral enemies heads.
To cut off Viral heads you will want to use a melee weapon. Focus your attacks on hitting the head area. Each time you remove a head you will get +1 to the challenges listed below. To unlock rewards you need to complete the challenges listed in the table below.

You can track your objective progress through the Chapters tab when you press start. You will see a Community Event tile on the left side of the screen under Active Bounties. Here you can see both how you are doing individually and how the community is doing. Additionally progress will appear on your HUD when you gain progress on an event challenge.
The participation and personal objective rewards appear in your in-game stash upon completing those objectives. The community reward (when it is unlocked) must be claimed through the newly launched Pilgrim Outpost‘s Events tab. Be sure you have an account and have linked it to your gaming platform for it to work.
