Before beginning make sure you download the patch associated with Season 15 for your console or PC. Once you have this patch downloaded head into the game. When you enter the game you will trigger a cutscene that starts a quest called mission Cocoon on the Dreaming City. If the quest doesn’t begin head to Dreaming City Destination and look for the mission in the top right corner.

Once you reach the end of the mission you will encounter Petra Venj, Osiris, and Saint-14. After this interaction Petra will tell you to head to the nearby room to grab the Wayfinder’s Compass. Go to the compass and interact with it to get the Artifact. Once you have the Artifact you will go to the H.E.L.M.

What Does the Wayfinder’s Compass Artifact Do

After acquiring the Wayfinder’s Compass it is added to your Character screen. Open the Character screen and you will find it in the bottom left corner (as shown above). Preview the Artifact to see its purpose. The Artifact unlocks various mods that are used to defeat specific enemies in the new season.

To unlock the weapon mods you need to earn XP. Hovering over the Artifact in your inventory will show you the needed XP to earn an unlock. Each time you earn an unlock you can purchase a mod from the Artifact screen. You can unlock a total of 12 mods from the Artifact. Unlock progress in the Artifact can be reset from the Artifact screen.
