Assassin’s Creed Valhalla River Raid Champions of the Faith List

In the 1.3.1 update for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Ubisoft has added new River Raid maps players can complete. These maps feature a unique questline players can do for Vagn. Once the questline is complete special boss battles called River Raid champions will appear for playes to complete. Each champion defeated unlocks a special weapon. There are three total weapons to unlock. Here is the complete Assassin’s Creed Valhalla River Raid champions of the faith list.

Champions of Faith

Completing the Lugh’s Armor questline for Vagn will unlock the Champions of Faith enemy type on River Raids. These enemies are special bosses that appear on Heavy river defense levels. There are currently three Champions of Faith players can find and defeat. Each boss drops a special weapon upon defeat. Vagn will point you in the direction of the three bosses:

1. England’s Protector.
2. Ireland’s Defender.
3. Francia’s Anointed.

For each boss listed above you will need to go to specific locations on specific River Raids. Once you reach the location a cutscene will trigger and a boss fight will start. Defeating the boss gives you their special weapon.

England’s Protector

• Location: River Severn monastery location.

• Weapon Unlock: Rollo’s Lost Dane Axe (Axe).

The first Champion of the Faith you will get a quest to defeat is England’s Protector. The England’s Protector boss is located on the Svern River in a monastery marked on your map. Go to the quest marker to trigger a boss fight. This boss fight tasks you with defeating England’s Champion of the Faith and two bodyguards. Your Jomsviking can assist you in this battle. Upon defeating this boss you will pick up Rollo’s Lost Dane axe.

Ireland’s Defender

• Location: River Berbha druid location.

• Weapon Unlock: Celtic Crusher (Hammer).

Upon defeating the first champion you will unlock the Ireland’s Defender quest. This quest tasks you with locating the Champion of the Faith in a Druid location along the River Berbha. The boss location is marked on you map. Make your way to the objective marker to trigger a boss fight with two enemies. These enemies are a brother and sister duo. Defeat both to receive the Celtic Crusher hammer.

Francia’s Anointed

• Location: River Rhine monastery location.

• Weapon Unlock: Sir Gareth’s Holy Sword (Sword).

The last boss fight you unlock is Francia’s Anointed. This boss is located in the monastery along the River Rhine. Once you reach the quest marker you will trigger a boss fight with a lone enemy. Defeat this enemy to get Sir Gareth’s Holy Sword. After getting the weapon leave the River Raid and head back to Vagn.

When you complete all of the boss fights listed above you will have completed the River Raid content that was added during Update 1.3.1. Return to Vagn and speak to him to trigger the end of the River Raid questline. You will receive a special note indicating there is more content to come. This content will appear in future DLCs and updates.
